Turned my entry level system that can hang with the best of 'em.

A little bit stiff.

First off, I would like to say that I am not an audiophile, but I am far beyond the curcuit city crowd. (No offense to those circuit city shoppers)I am in college and am offended by the sound that comes pouring out of adjacent rooms through 200 dollar AIWA mini systems. It actually strikes a nerve in my brain forcing me to retreat to my room. (I know that sounds very snobby, but those of us who have been exposed to good sound just can't go back- those of us know who we are). I have been collecting stereo equipment since I was about 11 years old. (okay I was a nerd)I can finnaly say that I have a competant system now that I am 22. There are not many guys my age that are in the same mindframe as me as they look at a speakers woofer size to assess its worth. Let me tell you a little about my system.

*Marantz CD-48, modified with vibrapods, mute resistors clipped and heavily dampened.
* Homemade all silver interconnect (AMAZING)
*Parasound HCA 750A Power Amp, (No preamp used)
*Pinnacle AC-650
*Pinnacle Digital Sub 150
*Pioneer PDR-555RW
*Studio Tech ST30 steel sand filled stands

Now on tho the cables.
In a word.....actually 3. OH MY GOD!!!
Is this MY system? Somebody pinch me!!! Upon hooking up my system with these cables my sound was transformed. The highs sparkled through. At first i left one channel with my RS megacable......right out of the box these things TROUNCHED the mega cable. It was like somebody washed the windows. Even my cassette listening roomate noticed the difference. The midrange was SOOOO much smoother. And all this was from the first time they were ever put to work. The concern with the bass that some have encountered is non existant due to that I am using them with bookshelf speakers and have a competent sub. Soundstaging? COME AND GET IT!!! Pop in some Ella Fitzgerald and hear a live perfomance in your living room. And these cables are only going to get better. Mine are only about an hour and a half old and I love them so much that I was compelled to write this review now. After break in I will get back to all of you. EXCELLENT PRODUCT!
