Strength:
Detail, soundstage, neutral and low level retrieval.
Weakness:
None in my system These cables are absolutely amazing! I have been using Kimber PBJ's for about 6 months now. The Kimbers were good for the price but I knew there was better out there, I just didn't know how much I would have to spend to get the sound I wanted. Well, I decided not to go with a higher model from Kimber and instead purchased these cables after exstensive research. These cables have been getting some seriously good reviews from all sources. So I threw them into my system Friday night and let burn. I noticed right away that they sounded good considering I just hooked them up. They were not offensive in any way. Now, come Monday I sat down after work and noticed that it sounded reeeally good. Much greater clarity. I heard each and every instrument without even trying to listen for them. Again nothing sounded bad. There was more bass than before and now the highs were much smoother. Something was not quite right though. The sound stage sounded a little squished to gether to be natural. So, I moved my speakers about a foot further apart and adjusted the angles. WOW! These cables were now giving me a sound that was equivalent to a new piece of gear. What can I say. I can now here people in my room giving me a personal peformance! Amazing depth of soundstage, amazing width to boot. Everybody has there space on stage. Incredible musicality. These cables brought back the fun to listening to music. I must get the pro-9 speaker cables... A bargain at any price!! Similar Products Used: Kimber PBJ, Audioquest Emeralds, YBA Crystals. |

Strength:
Amazing bass depth,authority
Weakness:
Slight recessed midrange This cable was auditioned at a customers house, and since then,it has become one of my favorites of all the cables I have listened to.VERY MUSICAL! One of those that makes you forget about what equipment you are listening to,and just get into the MUSIC.This is a special product, which I am now pushing for my customers. It's that good, also will be listening to there other products in the near future. Strength:
Exceptional detail retrieval in high frequencies
Weakness:
Way too expensive (especially here, in Europe) Hybrid silver + copper cable that doesn't suffer from the glare generally associated with silver cables. An exceptional cable for detail retrieval in the high frequencies. The quality of the material is heard clearly, in that the sound has absolutely none of the "dirty" character that appears with lower cable brands. Music is truy airy and breathing in the highs. On the other hand, the lows seem a bit on the short and lean side. Unlike the highs, they are not breathing but can sound stiff on a number of recordings (even a trifle tiring and lacking in dynamics). Feeling some kind of frustration, I tend to push the volume of my system higher when I listen with the Pro-Silway MKII (which is always a bad indication for me). Although the Silway remains impressing, I often fail to forget I am listening to a hifi system with this cable. With other, more modest cables, I am paradoxically drowed more quickly into the music. In conclusion, more convincing as a "intellectualized" demonstrative cable than truly lively and involving (especially given the price category).
