Awesome sound right out of the "can". Some mfg's want you to "break in" their cables. I feel that is a lot of hype. It seems to me the things that breaks in are your ears. Once you get used to the way the equipment sounds your ears & mind adjust. These cables needed no such time that I could discern. Nice packaging & accessorys for those who care. Good looks, if you can ever see them after they are installed. Good high grade spades that grip the amp outputs well. Nice bi-wiring with plenty of exposed end length on speaker side. Looks like they didn't just "wave" the ends over the gold plating tank. Gold is thick enough to last.

What to do with the plastic box they came with after they are installed. Semi bulky in size. Being about 1" diameter they need to be placed carefully. The amp ends are crimped together while the speaker ends are seperate for bi-wiring. This probably doesn't matter since both output terminals on amps are basically bound together anyways. This stuff is here just to be picky.

I have been building my system for the last 2 years. Quality takes time, or so I've heard. I purchased theses cables after seeing them by chance being sold on EBAY. I was already using Monster Z1 speaker cable and was very pleased. But for the price I couldn't pass these up. The packaging & presentation when I received them was impressive to say the least. Nice plastic hard case with different ends & the allen wrench tool as well. After hooking them up I was equally impressed with the sound. These cables will allow your system to send the lowest lows & the highest highs to your speakers with no trouble or distortion at all. My infinity Rennesiance 90's will go wayyy low and wayyy high and this cable allows them to do just that. The difference in sound from the Z1 is more than subtle. If you have a high end system you will notice the increased clarity & bandwidth. I have seen lots of terms on this site used to describe different equipment, but the one I like best is the "smile on your face" when listening. I am very happy with these cables and they will be connected to my system probably forever. I give them a five star rating both for the sound quality & the price I paid. I probably would have been bent if I had paid the full retail & then seen then "on sale" for less than $200. Still they would sound great at any price. Beats the daylights out of spending a couple of grand on another product that may not sound as good. If you like aggresiveness of the sound, don't go with this cable

I have been auditioning speaker cable for about 2 months now. Prior to this cable, I've used monster z1, Nordost Blue Heaven, MIT terminator etc. This cable improved my system. 2.4 is very laid back, you won't get fatique after listening to them for couple hours. I played my Steely Dan cd and sacd and WOW... I heared a lot of stuff that I never listened before. PLUS the cable looks so SEXY and so cool. My friend even calls it ANACONDA. If you want to spend less than $1000 for speaker cable, NOTHING is better than this cable.

I purchased the M2.4s recently. I expected them to be broken in already as they were "used". I initially was initially disappointed because they were missing bass frequencies almost entirely. I guessed that they might not be broken in yet.I ran pink noise for most of 2-3 days. After about 48hrs. it was as if I was listening to a new and higher end system. All the usual adjectives apply but the best way to describe my experience is that there was much more energy transmitted through the cable, creating almost as much realism as I have heard on much more sophisticated systems. I was really enjoying the music for a change . It was similar to a live gig in my living room. Yes, soundstage is very good, imaging pinpoint, very deep black level, rich bass, smooth highs, yet reasonably neutral. If you are thinking about an upgrade to your system and need time to save money, try these cables, they will serve you well later on a higher end system.
Equipment used : Yamaha DSP-A1 integrated amp, Monitor Audio M14 speakers, Sony DVD- 7700 (CD played analogue only), Tributaries top of the line interconnects, XLO top of the line coax (for 5.1 listening)

No reasonable weaknesses at this price. Maybe bass could be a bit tighter. Spades can be difficult to connect. Try the
banana plugs if you dont have 5 way binding posts.

Silly black rubber bands around conenction ends. Monster Cable over-kill marketing

I bought the Monster Cable 2.4 Bi-Wires by suggestion from Digital Ear in Tustin CA to mate with Martin Logan SL3 main speakers to match with Monster Cable 2.2 wires for a Martin Logan Logos center speaker. I really didn't want to buy these wires due to the over marketing practices of Monster Cable. On my precious stereo system, the Monster Cable 400 series interconnects I was using, had a very poor cost per sound ratio. With my newer Stereo system I replaced the 400 series with Harmonic Technology Truth-Link wires & my audio system came alive. Then I ran into troblue with the Monster Cable HTS5000, which I had to replace twice, because the first unit would caused my pre-amp to turn off when I turned on the amp. I also had to replace the Monster Cable HTS2000 because the first unit caused my television to hum when there was a bright screen. Therefore me & Monster Cable don't get along. But these Monster Cable 2.4 Bi-wires do give more soundstage than the Harmonic Technology Bi-wires I was using before. I did a sound test with both products mated with an Aragon 8008BB amp to Martin Logan SL3 speakers. The only thing I don't like about these Bi-wires is the silly black rubber bans around the ends, they always fall off when I am moving things around. Are they for looks or do they serve a purpose? Why not glue them on, or redesign the wires because I have a bad back & 3 or 4 times I had to go back behind the stereo system & push them back on. I know there are better products out there, but I was told that these Bi-wires match well with Martin Logan products. Therefore if you are using another speaker company, do your own testing & beware of Monster Cable.

By the time I changed my speaker cables into M2.4, the sonic accuracy increased significantly with very clear sound stage. It is a good wire even though it doesn't have any silver contents like other cables.

I love the sound quality of the M2.4s. Very accurate. I have compared them to my 99.99% pure silver teflon insulated braided multi-gauge wire. The M2.4s are simply better sounding. The markup is large on this type of item, ask your retailer for deal, most will give a better price.

Balance between high, midrange&bass, open and natural

rubberband is easy to loose.

I use this cable together with NAD Silver Series (CD Player, Preamp, Amp), B&W Nautilus 805,Velodyne SPL12 Subwoofer and Cardas Golden Reference Interconnect. When I changed IXOS Gamma 6002 speaker cable with this cable, I hear a big improvement in the sound of my audio system. It become more accurate, focus and better power in the mid-range, especially in the human voice range, and the bass become more tight. So I can enjoy the sound of piano as piano and the voice of Diana Krall & Jacinta become more open, accurate and very beautiful. Tara Labs the Two can deliver more open and transparant sound, but it is lack of power and focus in the midrange.So, monstercable M2.4 is more natural and the price is resonable for this high quality cable. Try it.

Bass, clarity, soundstage

rubber bands - easy to lose

I bought this monster cable M2.4 biwired about 4 months ago to pair between my CJ MV-55 and ProAc Response 1.5 replacing the Kimber 4TC. I could notice the difference in tighter bass, better sound stage, more focus and clarity. This cable is definitely great and should not be overlooked.

Sometime, I paired this cable between my Krell 300iL and NHT 2.5i which I have in another audio system using DH Labs T-14 biwired. It is quite friendly matched well with these two's. I heard the same improvement of this system when compared to DH Labs.

As the other posts said, the one about this cable I do not like is the rubber bands which are quite easily lose when I did switch the cables. Finally, I decided to take all of them off. I did not hear anything difference between with and without rubber bands. IMO, I would think that the rubber band was put for cosmetic ... nothing related to the sound.

I am not a monster cable fan. But if you have a budget to buy the other cables at the same price range, do not overlook this cable. Try or audition this one, you should not be disappointed.
