Sorry for the double post. Just in case... it was the Tara Labs Prism 22, I have tried and still have around. The Audioquest is the Topaz 2(olive green)and Topaz (light tan) interconnects that took around 24 hours to break in.

These cables are really great for poeple who have bright sources. They are rich with a liquity treble. The vocals are deliciously smooth. The bass is deep and unmuddied. It's not as dynamic as the more expensive cables but will make big improvements to many CD players or MiniDisc players under $1000. For those of you who use line conditioners like the X10-D or the ASE this is the perfect cable without spending a zillion dollars. Cables like the PBJ are way too bright for that purpose. In fact only use PBJ if you have a really dull system like the Arcam.

It's good but the treble was a bit strange in my system - very liquid butit just seemed like the treble was being thinned a bit. Good bass though.
But i must say my favourite interconnect is the van den Hul DM100MkIII.

They only cost 40 dollars per 1 meter, they sound more detailed than Monster 1000i that I used to own(that cost 200 dollars/meter), they are better built than MITs and Monsters, they offer better warranty than a lot of other cables, they sound smooth and lushy, they give you a midrange to die for, they rumble the walls with the bass, they sound sooooooooo clean, they won the Grand Prix award this year for best budget interconnector. Enough wit the raving.
I have tried PBJs, Monsters, MITs(T-2s), Cardas and Straightwire. Loved cardas and actually have them in my system. However, they are very expensive. Chorus II is my choice on interconnectors up to 200 dollars a meter. We gotta apreciate a company that offers such a good quality for so little.
Way to go Straightwire.
No 5 stars because nothing is perfect. Four stars all the way, just like the finest food at the finest restaurants.

For the money these cables are fantastic. My system is very detailedand forward sounding, I have tried other cables in thier price range,
audioquest has good detail but too aggressive for my system. I was
using tara labs prism 22's prior to the chorus and like thier smooth
sound but mids were still a little to forward sounding. With the chorus
the mids are very liquid sounding with good bass and highs. The soundstage
is also better than the other cables. I have since replaced all the cables
in my system with the chorus and it NEVER sounded better.

In a word, "smooooth", for the money these are an absolute steal at $34 per half meter. I was using Kimber PBJ's ( like nail's on a chalk board) prior to these and was astonished at the difference, lush midrange, smooth but not dull highs andthe bass seems just fine. My system consists of magneplanar MMG's, NAD amp and CD player which I must admit is not very forgiving of bright cables like the PBJ's that are very fatiguing to listen to for long periods of time, anyway I highly recommend these to anyone on a budget , 5 stars!

I upgraded to this cable from a standard set of RCA cables. There is a world of difference, and I am ver pleased for the purchase. I picked them up for $35, and I cannot say enought about them.
I am very pleased with the purhase.

Strength:

detailed, warm sound

Weakness:

didn't work well in my system, seemed to lessen overall musicality and vitality

Maybe it's my system or insufficient break-in (20+ hours), but these really seamed to sap the musical energy from my system. They provided a more detailed and a warmer sound than the Monsters, but made the music less involving and exciting.

They may work perfectly good for you and they are inexpensive so they stil warrant a try. Got great service from audioadvisor.com. I welcome any suggestions for improvement.
