Strength:

Very versatile cable that I use for both my stereo and home theater set ups. Gives better bass definition to my music. Good weight, depth and detail. The Chorus is excellent value for the money, especialy for low to mid-fi budget set ups.

Weakness:

Weakness? I'm hard pressed to find any. There's some straining in the hi-frequncies on orchestral pieces but I'm nitpicking. I guess at this price don't expect a sonic miracle. If your hi-fi set up sounds lack lustre, a cable upgrade may not be enough.

The Chorus has been an excellent addition to my interconnects, providing smooth detail and tighter bass to my NAD amp and Marantz CD player which I use in my study. These are great cable upgrades for entry level set ups. One thing I noticed immediately from using them, compared to my previous cable, was the faster pace and more of the low frequncies being heard. There's depth, weight and detail that brings so much immediacy to the bass-heavy music I listen to. So if you listen to dance and rock music, the Chorus is a welcome addition. I now have another pair linking my VCR and home theater amp. No complains about the better sound there too.

Strength:

Good construction. Detailed sound, far above standard cables. Reasonable price. Good value for money.

Weakness:

None I can hear or see.

I have been using copper braid and copper center conductor Radio Shack audio/video cables with gold connectors for years. I brought them in to audio shop to try against higher grade cables on a system well above what I could afford. I tried them against the Chorus cables, 1 meter for about $40.

Difference between the cables was very obvious. The Chorus was far superior. Detail, bass, all the buzzwords. I also compared the Chorus to more expensive Straightwire products.
The difference between the $40 Chorus and the $150 wire was subtle, but not worth the extra $$$$ for me.

I use Chorus now between my Rega Planet CD and Acurus R11 preamp, and the Sony Minidisc to R11, and R11 to Acurus A100 power amp. Very happy with the sound.

I think the Chorus gives excellent sound for the money, and is an essential upgrade over standard cables for any good system.

I have no plans to upgrade the Chorus. I am satisfied with current sound. I recommend this wire to anyone with any quality system.

Strength:

Good bass
Decent middle
Smooth highs

Weakness:

No one considering the price

The bass is tight and deep enough, highs very suitable for bright sources. I've compared with Audioquest Topaz which is slightly better in may opinion (especially the dynamic and clarity) by more than twice in price.
Considering the price/ performance ratio I'll give 5.

BTW, I don't like how the terminations and the solders where made

Strength:

Focused sound. Suitable for bright system, seriously toned down the brightness. Overall a pleasant listening experience.

Weakness:

Weird female vocal reproduction, sounds airy and thin. Lack in dynamic on certain pieces.

I was browsing through this site and found that the review for the chorus very favourable. Considering the local distributor is having a sale now I can get the cables way cheaper.

The sound quality is excellent compared to patch cords, therefore making it suitable for basic hifi systems. It is also warmt sounding, and having this charateristic makes it perfect for overly bright sounding systems. Unfortunately there were also times when complex pieces sounds muddle and all jumbled up, lacking in sound definition.

overall and ok cable.
