Have to wait for them Ordered a 2-meter premium svideo cable and a 1-meter svideo cable on a Friday morning, received them the following Thursday. As with other BetterCables, the svideo cables are done in a very cool black sheath. Similar Products Used: Monster Cable, AR |

Strength:
good looking cable, price, performance
Weakness:
not quite as flexible as the MIT I had read nothing but rave reviews for Brad and his bettercables.com cables and decided to test them against the MIT s-video and the Monster II. Even with my high expectations I was still impressed from the time I opend up the box to the time I was able to hook this cable between my Onkyo Integra DPC-6 and my 27" RCA (3-line digital comb filter) and view what this cable could do. I used scene two from "Saving Private Ryan", scene one from "The Replacement Killers", and scene 18 from "Starship Troopers". Without a doubt, the Better Cable is as good performance-wise as the MIT and better than the Monster II. Black levels in "Saving Private Ryan" were full as I would expect them to be, adding three-dimensionality that I didn't see in the factory cables. Flesh tones which seemed to blend in with the sand in the "Starship Troopers" scenes using the factory cables (and to a lesser extent using the Monster II) stood out well using the Better Cables. Colors were full and vibrant in the "Replacement Killers" scene. Resolution was crisp and detail evident across all test scenes using the Better Cables. The only area in which the Better Cable was bested was in the fact that the MIT is a little more flexible than Brad's hand-terminated job. However, the only thing this means is that the unit the better cable is plugged into will have to be a bit further out from the wall to prevent pinching. All in all, I am highly satisfied with my purchase and look forward to working with Brad on upgrading many of my other cables in the very near future. Quality, cost

None I had purchased a monster s-video cable when I first bought a DVD player for my girlfriend. Not knowing any better I thought I had a good one. Then I found this web site and started educating myself on the products from Bettercables.com. I purchased all new cables from them for my home system and replaced that monster piece of junk. The picture quality is much better and at that price how could you go wrong! Don't waste your time with those other cables, get the most bang for your buck and visit bettercables.com! Works fine, over a great distance (12 meters), and seems better than the replaced 1 meter cable I had to 'hide' the dvd/cd combo from the 3yr old, and so it had to be 35+ft from the sony vega TV. Did not want to waste the setup with local store daisy chained cables. Compared with other web-based offerings, best price, solid cust support, and the picture is better than after at a 12x distance increase! Similar Products Used: factory cables |

Overall quality, design, value, and performance. The BEST S-video cable for the money.
Weakness:
NONE I purchased a SONY KV-24FV12 WEGA television last week and decided I needed a high quality S-video cable to connect my PIONEER DV-525 DVD player. I saw the reviews of BETTER CABLES and decided to give them a try. I purchased their ULTRA S-video cable 2 meters long. The cable was at my door 2 days after placing the order. This cable is IMRESSIVE, at first sight it looks like it cost twice the price I paid for it. Looks alone don't do this S-video cable justice. Similar Products Used: Monster Cable |

Strength:
Clean picture ;vivid color
Weakness:
price No doubt about it. If you want a cleaner picture, much better color and a sharper picture, this cable will work. I was using a "generic" "s" video cable between my dish network receiver and my 50" mitshubishi tv with pretty good results, but as with everything else if you want to spend more money you usually can improve on things.Thats the case here and i feel its worth the extra expense for the added benifit of a better picture. The picture quality now is very close to the quality results obtained using component connections between my dvd and tv.If you can afford the upgrade then go for it. If it doesn't make you happy send it back to "bettercables" for a refund. Similar Products Used: generic cable |

Picture looks perfectly fine
Weakness:
No noticeable difference from low-end $35 Monster Cable S-Video I bought a set of Audio Interconnects (which I kept and think are fantastic) along with an S-Video cable (which I returned after a couple of weeks.) Why? While the picture looked fine, it was not noticeably crisper and the colors not any sharper than what my Monster S-Video cable produces. I have the entry level Monster cable. Not sure of the model number. Better Cables took it back without complaint and credited my account. I still wonder if I got a lemon cable, after all the fantastic reviews on here. But I changed the cables back and forth several times and used a couple of reference disks. Similar Products Used: Radio Shack, Monster S-Video |
