Strength:

Sound purity and exquisite detail. As refined as it gets for under $250.

Weakness:

Let me listen again, none. For the price are you joking, these are near perfect. With a HeadRoom MAX these are perfect.

Best value in true audiophile headpones. These gems a good few said will spoil you with their detailed and coloration free sound.Transparent like few others(more transparency can be found in electrostatics, much more expensive),need a good headphone amp to perform. For the prices these go they are a true bargain.

Strength:

As mentioned in previous reviews.

Weakness:

There are two weaknesses to mention. The ear-cushions attract dust!!! It just takes a few weeks to make them look like something you wouldn't dare to touch (maybe this is a bit exaggerated). This doesn't really affect the sound, but it doesn't do any good, either. Second weakness: there's quite an amount of pressure on your ears. I'm wearing glasses and these cans aren't that comfortable unless I take off my glasses before putting the cans on.

Lovely cans. Two very 'special' weaknesses.

AKG K 1000 - State of the art as far as I'm concerned, but much more expensive (plus: a simple phones jack on amp won't work with them).

Strength:

Detail, Good wide frequency very low to height, balance, sound very real and natural, bad for bad source and sound very good if your using audiophile source (chesky, telarc, verve, etc), good stage and wide, even you can hear most of the singer breath and lips!

Weakness:

Cable but i think this very minor problem

This HD600 sound very good, I only use this with my Arcam DIVA CD-72 and NAD C370 Integrated Amp through headphone output. Im using every day 1-2 hours to break-in. I think need headphone amp after break-in and very reasonable price.

Strength:

incredible sound... depth, clarity, highs, lows, mids...

Weakness:

sound quality difference is not worth to spend an extra $200 when used with a potable units... I don't consider this to be a weakness, but just keep in mind.

Additional info which might be useful for people who are considering to buy this unit: 1. It sounds great even when used with a portable CD player. It will not 'make a fart sound and be damaged' when used with a portable CD player like some other reviewer wrote. It will just sound great! It does lack lows very very little when used with a portable CD player because of lack of power. But it's much better than any of the standart market headphones. If this is your first 'nice headphone', I don't think you will ever notice any weakness in the lows; so don't worry... 2. I got better sound through my Computer (Turtle Beach Santa Cruz) than my Phillips portable CD player... 3. This thing just shines when used with the headphone output of a nice amp... I wouldn't spend $250 if I were to use it with a portable CD player or computer all the time. But it the audio quality was incredible when I used it with my Onkyo. (There was a noticable hiss though, shame on Onkyo!) No comparison to what I've heard upto now... I sold my Onkyo and probably buy a Creek 5350SE integrated amp to use both my speakers and this nice unit... Comparison with HD535: I bought HD535 first, and then HD600... On my portable CD player, HD600 has clear highs and much much better lows. On the ONKYO, the difference is not even comparable. HD535 was not sounding better than my speakers, on the other hand HD600 blows my Polks away...

Weakness:

None

I mainly use them while I digitally record my own songs. They're clean, open and dynamic, with a tight well present bass. I own also cans from Beyerdynamic, Sony and Philips, but was never 100% happy; with these ones I am. They're also comfertable with a tight fit.

Strength:

Super clear sound, very comfortable, not as hard to drive as people seem to make out.

Weakness:

nada

They arrived about half hour ago in a nice box. The headphones themselves look much better than all the pics I had seen on the net beforehand. Having only heard a few things on it so far but I can say its certainly a lot clearer than the HD500''s. The 500''s sound flat and lifeless in comparison, the 600''s are open and airy and are extremely well controlled. They are the clearest highest quality headphones I have heard, and I can now see what people say about them showing up defects in the source material because any little pops or clicks, these things are so clear you can hear the lot, cant blame the headphones really, crap goes in, crap comes out. On the other hand it also allows you to hear every little drum kick and guitar string plucked so you will hear things i your music youve never noticed before because you simply couldnt hear it. I keep hearig how hard these are to drive without an amp. Well I cant claim to be an audiophile but I have these plugged directly in to my SBLive soundcard and I have had to turn the volume DOWN a lot just to get to the same volume level as the HD500''s were at, and they had 10 times less impedance at 32ohms. I can only assume a lot of people take one look at the specs and say woah these things are hard to drive, but I can use them at 50% volume on my SBLive and its perfectly loud, so thatll do nicely. Im sure these would sound much better still with an amp, and I am looking at amps right now. As for comfort, they are extremely comfortable, I am getting a slight pressure just below my ears from the new foam in the cups but Im sure that will fade before long. I always found the pressure of the HD500''s to be far too light, turn your head and they could fly off, no such problem with these, they are secure without being too tight.

Strength:

Sound quality (higher frequenzy range than a lot of speakers), design, moderate price.

Weakness:

If you''re going for higher quality, you have to spend more (on your audio source), sometimes costs more than a very good pair of speakers (Wharfedale Diamond 8.1)

This is definitely the best headphone I''d ever get. Compared with my last Headphone (Denon AH-G55)this one is absolutely in heaven! The other strength of this headphone is it''s design. Sometimes I wear my ears out by listening to music for an hour or so, but this problem never occured on this Senn. Also I don''t have to turn it up to get better sound quality, as you have to for some other headphones. And it tells the difference between a 320K mp3 and a CD track. I''m can''t say it''s too good for the price as I brought my last pair of Headphone with a very cheap price ($8 no joke)

Weakness:

Could use a better stock cable

These are some wonderfull headphones, There is none better for the price in my opinion. When I combine these with a tube OTL amp, I get that liquid luxury of times past.
