Strength:
Very good sound and picture quality, good 24/96 DAC, great value for money. Region/macrovision free mod available.
Weakness:
Flimsy disk tray and lightweight construction. I have been very impressed with the playback quality of both DVD and CD disks with this player. Pictures are sharp and clear and audio is detailed though perhaps not quite as good as an equivalently priced CD player. I have watched quite a few movies and not encountered any problem areas yet. A bit more solidity and this would be a truly exceptional player however it is a very good buy for the price and highly recommended. Similar Products Used: 1st DVD player owned |

Strength:
multiregion, easy to use, CD-r playback, component output
Weakness:
CD playback, pan/scan transfer, tray noise For the price payed, it's a good player. On 28 inch TV it gives good picture quality. It's easy to setup, and to use. |

Strength:
Overall performance, versatile
Weakness:
Remote, noise, weight After using it for almost 7 months now, I think it is a great DVD-player. It reads almost any disk you feed it (had a small problem using the region 2 James Bond movies License to kill and The living daylights, but after a reload everything worked like a charm), has a crisp clear picture and great sound. I use it in combination with a Philips wide screen television, a Yamaha RXV596RDS receiver, two B&W DM110i main speakers, a solid center speaker, two B&W DM601 rear speakers and a Yamaha YSTSW90 subwoofer which gives me great sound and a good image.
