Picture freezes, then catches up later

This player is flat out awful. I am returning it later today. I thought I would give it a chance, but the picture is awful, the foregroumd is sharp, but the background is either blurry or else you see weird 'grain' arftifacts moving at random speeds. Every few minutes, the picture will 'freeze', but the audio continues, and then the picture skips and catches up. The CD sound is pretty pathetic too, even though it has a 24/96 D/A converter. The remote buttons have to be pressed repeatedly in order to get a response. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! You get what you pay for! I am going to trade up to a Toshiba or Panasonic!

Cheap(in norwegian measures), has got a lot of features and they're easy accessed. plays Mp3-files.

It'called Samsung(Ironic). If this were a Philips or a Panasonic selling at the same price it would've been a sensation.

All in all I'm very pleased with this machine, it does all it's supposed to do and it does it well.
All the negative that's been said about it is probably related to the fact that there were released a number of players some time ago having some trouble with the laser/reader. So I'm told by the norwegian importer.
He also said that if I ended up buying one of these DVD's they would repair it at no cost, but he ment that all the troublemakers now were off the market.
So if there's something wrong with your Samsung, get in touch with the importer.
