Strength:
Bass Bass and more bass.
Weakness:
there is no weaknesses. this stereo is da bomb.if you are looking to buy a nice mini system i think you should buy this one. The BASS is awsome and the lightning bolt on the side of the subwoofer makes the stereo look even better. This stereo will amaze you with the sound quality for a mini system. This stereo has a pair of 100watt subwoofers with a total of 200watts plus the pair of front speakers witch also add up to 200 watts. This mini system is the 1 that i choosed and i am glad i did. Similar Products Used: Jvc mx-j700 or the mx-j900 but this system is the one that i like. |

Strength:
bass, volume. If you like your music loud, get this one. The thing looks sick, the lighting bolts on the side of the woofers are gnarly.
Weakness:
none I bought this last august. It cost me a pretty penny at the time but man was it worth it. This thing is loud, full of bass, and looks incredible. It treat it like my baby. Theres no dust, no scratches, no damage on it at all. If you can still get it, dont hesitate. |

On the basis of the reviews herein, I just bought the XD-A81 from Circuit City for $379. It's everything (and more) that it's cracked up to be. The sound is superb -- clear, great highs, excellent presence; with a wall-shaking bass available if you want it to kick in (you can turn it down or off, if preferred). I had to search for the speaker wires (they were snuggled into a teeny little cubbyhole in the styrofoam) but, otherwise, connecting everything up was simple. The menu-based controls are a bit difficult but work fine once you get the hang of them. Dollar-for-dollar I give this mini-system a solid 5! |

Strength:
very hard bass!
Weakness:
can only do some things by remote in terms of sound quality, this system has NO weaknesses to speak of! highs, mids and bass barely distort at higher volumes, if at all! overall, this IS the system to get if you want none other than the best. however, be warned that kenwood has discontinued this system (in the US as far as i know) for whatever reason, which makes it VERY hard to come by. however, if you are one of the lucky people that gets your hands on it, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! Dollar for dollar this is one of the best mini's out there. If you are willing to spend more than 600 hundred on a mini you got to be crazy. Go get yourself a nice reciever and some nice speakers. But if you are looking for a mini look no further. I would suggest getting some thicker speaker wire and some satellites. I would also suggest to put a little fan close to it if you are going to listen to it for an extended period of time or at high volumes, as the amps heat up a little more than most. Otherwise this system is great. |
