I have always liked Bose, but at the same time, never have thought of them as being great for home theater. A friend of mine has one of those Acoustimass sets which sound just awesome for music, but weak for theater. |

I purchased the Bose model 100's to use as rear speakers for my surround sound. I think for 150 bucks I got a great deal. With the mounting brackets I was able to mount them on a wall and adjust them for the best sound. I was quite suprised by the amount of bass and the overall clarity. I have found with Bose that you have to be selective. The unit you would think would sound the best sounds like crap and vice-versa. You couldn't pay me to use any Accoustimas series but I have been impressed by the 100's as well as the 201's and 301's. |

I have these as rear speakers in my dolby digital home theater setup. Absoloutely no complaints. They sound great I was on a limited budget and selected these over many others after doing research and listening to others a various stores. |

Amazing. These sound just like Proac Response 1's. I didn't like those speakers and gave them 1 star. However they cost 30 TIMES as much as these Bose 100's. Taking that in consideration these are definitely 4 stars. |

I bought these speakers because I liked how they look a lot and I always did like Bose. They weren't too expensive and I didn't listen to them before I bought them. They are wonderful, I had them as rear, center and front speakers and they work well in all places. I recomend that you get them if you like small speakers and have a small room to put them in. |

I used to sell Bose equipment, and I agree, most of their product line is way overpriced pieces of crap, and if the commision wasn't good, i would never have sold a single Bose speaker. But, there are a couple of Bose speakers that are worth the money and this is one. These speakers put out great sound for the price. Of course, they put out horrible sound as a pair of stereo speakers, but they were designed for the rear channels or close range, secondary stereo channels, such as a garage or kitchen. These fit that description perfectly, i use them as my rear channels and couldn't be happier. This is one of the very rare cases where Bose actually put out a decent product for the price. So, i give them 4 stars as a rear channel speaker, 2 as a stereo or center channel speaker. |

I used Bose Model 100 as the front effect speakers with Yamaha RX-V2095 and Bose AM10 Speaker system. Model 100 performed excellent. I had limited spending for the effects speakers and chose the Model 100 for its looks and easy match for my existing system. But result is suprise, especially with Yamaha's Tri-field DSP mode. |

they are real good speakers as long as you don't try to treat them like they are some kind of hi fi floor standing speaker. They are only 4.5 inches big (or close to that) so don't use them as a pair of stereo speakers and push all kinds of bass a blasting them of course they won't sound as good. but if you use them as surrounds or on a low powered surround sound system as fronts but as for mine they aren't video sheilded but i tested how they sound as a center anyway and it was pretty good so if you would like to blast your music so that the next country can hear you get some other kind of speakers but these are good for all areas in a surround sound system |

First of all, I have never heard the 100's. If have, however owned other Bose products, and if it is any indication of there other products, I do not want them. The 100's would be a good choice for the garage, or workshop, but NOT for any real Home Theather setup. Even used for surrounds, you could do alot better then Bose. For about the same price you could get a pair of Infinity RS-1's that would blow the Bose away with no problems. Who uses paper drivers anymore? Bose does! Bose was good about 20 years ago. If they did not waste all of their time advertising, they would spend more time making a better product. I would be willing to bet good money that a pair of surrounds that come in one of those Pioneer Home Theather in a box sets, would sound just as good. Don't get screwed like many before you. Bose Blows! |
