Strength:
Small, Nice Look
Weakness:
Sounds terrible Many people on this site tend to burn bose. I cannot as I have bose 301s for fronts and bose 201 for rears and am very pleased with their performance. I naturally thought that this center channel speaker would match nicely. BOY WAS I WRONG! Bose should not put their name on this piece of crap. The only thing it has going for it is the look. It has no highs, no lows and totally messes up my sound. I tried everything I could to adjust my amp to make this speaker work. But my Harman Kardon 110 could not make this speaker sound good. If you buy this speaker I hope you have the option of returning it. I did and got myself a Polk cs 245i and I now have the sound I was looking for. The polk was $50.00 cheaper too. Bottom line DO NOT BUY THIS SPEAKER. Similar Products Used: Pioneer HTP702, Polk CS 245i, Paradigm CC170 |

Strength:
Brilliant sound
Weakness:
None I love it. Sound is superb. I don't why so many people complain about this speaker. It seems you either love or hate Bose. I love Bose. I am most impressed with the care and effort they put into ALL of their products. I was a little disappointed that Bose didn't include their speaker wire with the VCS-10. My Acoustimass 5 Series II came with all kinds of quality spearker wire manufactured by Bose. People say this is too pricy, I see other centers for as much as $500...I don't think those units have anything on this Bose! Similar Products Used: JBL Flix1 Center Speaker |

Strength:
Looks good, Good bass despite what others will tell you, and great sound projection. Feels like your are right in front of the T.V. in any part of your room.
Weakness:
Price, very costly This is a quality center for under $200. It has great sound projcetion and feels like you are right in front of your tv in any part of your room. I imagine that most of the bashers either have never heard this center, or are jealous of it because they know that it beats their center hands dowm. Similar Products Used: Sony center, Bose beats it hands down. |

Strength:
Joe Average needs to learn how to spell and use proper grammar. The speaker is great.
Weakness:
none There are too many Bose bashers around that don't know what the f*ck they are talking about. They're probably just too god damn jealous of the people who can actually afford a decent home theater system with Bose speakers. They might also think their piece of sh*t speakers they got from the flea market for about 5 bucks are the best in the world. This center channel is awesome. Also, who the hell needs bass response from a center channel speaker? This speaker is meant mainly for dialogue. To get powerful bass, buy a powered subwoofer. (If you got the cash.) Audio I bought this speaker without listening to it first because I had always thought that BOSE was a great speaker company. But as soon as I hooked it up to my stereo system, the speaker sounded like it was broken. The center channel is suppsoed to produce all the dialogue during the movies, but all the voices coming out of the center channel were muddy. When there was background noise during movies, I could hardly even hear the dialogue. I'm pretty sure I was putting enough power through it because I had a 70x5 Onkyo Receiver hooked up to it. Anyway I exchanged the speaker because I thought it was busted and got a new BOSE center channel which sounded just as bad as the first one. Needless to say, I returned the BOSE and got an infinity center channel instead. I guess BOSE just likes making speakers that sound like they are broken. |

Weakness:
Sounds weak. My friend bought this center. I didn't have the heart to tell him how pathetic this thing really is. He's got Bose 301's front and rear a yahmaha sub and the Bose center. Not good. For the $1000 he spent on this set up he could of had something that sounded good. Very weak sound for a center. I'll eat it if it goes below 150 HZ. As for people who say a center doesn't need to go low because of the sub, subs only go up to 120 HZ. This leaves a large hole between the 200 HZ this thing starts at. I'm estimating because Bose doesn't have the balls to list frequency response. |

None, Absolutely None
Weakness:
Where do I begin? LOL Before purchasing this center channel I honestly had high hopes..I mean Bose is "better sound through research" right? WRONG Like so many others have also discovered this center channel is pathetic. If you want to simulate its sound go out to your garage, rip out the PC speaker in that old 486 computer you have lying around and there you go! Poor Poor Poor quality center channel..DO NOT PURCHASE! Similar Products Used: Martin Logan, M&K, Definitive T |

Strength:
Build quality
Weakness:
you cant take the grill off The bose centre channel would have to be one of the most compentent speakers on the market. With its no distortion to overload cutout this litle baby will serve for a long time. On comparsions, there is none. Not in this price range.......start looking at the $500-800 US and then you can start comparing. To all of you that like harsh bassy sound look else where this is a quality speaker that is ment to reproduce not put emhasis on bass trble (an easy selling tool).
