Weakness:
No clear sound, paper speakers. I bought this because of its cute look. It fit nicely on my tv. But when I hooked up this to my system, It never performed good. And then I had a look at reviews for this speaker, here on audioreview.com, I immediatly went back and returned the speaker. I bought jbl N-Center Channel, And this sounded great , without any problem. In fact I got the jbl N-Center also for $150. Similar Products Used: JBL N-Center |

None that i Know of Love The product. I see alot of people complaining, and i can understand that, but they paid way to much for it, for one thing. I got the center channel and 2 bose 1000's (i think) for surround for only like $150. They work and sound great. I am using a completely Bose system. But i also am using a Very HIGH end receiver. Maybe some peoples receivers suck and thats the real reason. I dont know, but i can say that this speaker sounds great, on all movies ive watched.. Includings the Matrix, T2, .. anything!! Disappointed. The addition of this center channel speaker to the existing Bose Acoustimass system is nearly transparent. The speaker blends nicely sitting on top of the big screen TV but its contribution to the "theater" experience likewise is nearly undetectable. |

You can tell this a weinie speaker from whoever started this review. Its called a center channel NOT CENTRAL CHANNEL.These little paper cones are pathetic compared to say dual 7inch kevlar drivers with a 1.25 dome and 4inch ribbon. Is there a Best Buy,Sears,Circuit City Forum this wanabee center speaker can be spoken about. That way they can get a good rating when their main competition is KLH and Cerwin Vegas. |

This hunk of junk isn't even on my consideration list. After extensive listening, it is one of the worsty, grainiest, nasal noismakers you can use in HT. I hate the price, I hate the sound. You be hard pressed to find anything worse for the ripoff price. Paper cones must cost alot these days... |

I checked this speaker out in Best Buy last weekend...and was lost for words. Now that I have gathered myself the following words come to mind: FLIMSY, CHEAP SOUNDING, & WORTHLESS. I cannot believe they wanted $179.00 for this piece of trash. I would pay no more than $30 for this speaker! |

HOW IT MATCHES WITH ACOUSTIMASS SPEAKERSI've been listening to this center channel for about a week. I bought it to match my Bose Acousticmess-5 front speakers, which I've been listening to for 5 years. I thought it would be a good match since they use the same 2 1/2 inch drivers, albeit the VCS-10 has an additional 2 drivers "compound-loaded" behind the first pair to extend bass response. They don't really match with the treble flat, but do reasonably well with the AM-5 treble turned down about -6 db. The AM-5s sound horrible anyway with the treble set above this in my relatively bright listening room. (For the full gruesome details of the sea-sick inducing response curve of the AM-5s, check some of the more knowledgable reviews elsewhere at this site). |

A 50 dollar Jensen center channel sounds about as good as this "speaker." I was about to buy this "speaker" because it looked real smooth, but I wasn't going to spend two-hundred dollars when I could get a polk-audio center channel for the same price. I'm going to assume they tried to get the sound to match the sound from those acoustimass speakers, and it looks like they did a pretty good job. |

When I purchased the Bose VCS-10 it was the final piece of a 5 speaker bose system (Bose701's, 301's, VCS-10, and Yamaha YST-SW150 for sub). I believed that this speaker setup would have a cohesive soundstage with matching timber and smooth bass. I've waited for the VCS-10 for some time now. Well, once I put in my Bad Boy's DVD and got going I knew I was in deep trouble. PROS- |
