Strength:
Very strong with vocals
Weakness:
My old CC3 seems to be a lot better with music so far. Its sounds pretty good so far. I purchased to for a center channel to go with my new Infinity IL40 and moved my Infinity CC3 to the rear as a rear channel. Maybe I should give the IL25 more time to break in but the three year old CC3 is a lot more clear than the IL25 is right now but the IL25 sounds fuller I guess because of the larger drivers. for the price I paid its a very good purchase and I think this is as large of a center channel that i would have wanted on top of my Toshiba 50 inch wide screen. Strength:
Beautiful mid range and nice lows, albeit not as low as the floor speakers, but is handles deep male voices beautifully. Check out the wwzz Jazz 106.1 FM. Beautiful. Best part is the stand that comes on the back of the speaker. I actually put the speaker on the rear slope of my TV and supported it with the integrated stand. So now the dialogues appear to come from the back of the screen which creates a cinematic soundstage.
Weakness:
Weakness?? it is strong to take on anybody as far as dialogues are concerned. Don't expect rock music lows. The center channel is not designed for that. Anyway the floor standing speakers takes care of the low bass and since they are timbre matched, it is seamless. Absolutely wonderful. I initially got myself a Yamaha HT5440 reciever. Hooked it up to my old Aiwa speakers and experienced bliss. Then I relaized what would happen if i got some REAL speakers? So I got a pair of IL30 speakers from Harmanaudio. Amazing clarity of sound. My heart started skipping beats until I settled down. Then I went hunting for a center channel. The IL36c was too big for my room. so that was out of the question. I then got an Entra center channel from circuit-city. Good sound, but did not amaze me with it's mid range. if kind of felt empty, not full...meek?? Then I saw a brand new IL25c on bid at www.ubid.com. Starting bid was 100.00. I got it for 100.01. My lucky day. so total cost of center channel = 100.00+25.00 = 125.00 Similar Products Used: Infinity Entra center channel Yamaha Center channel Pioneer Center channel Aiwa Center channel- is actually better than all of the above, save the entra. |

Strength:
pretty punchy bass just use a good cable and put 100 watt power into it
Weakness:
a lot, but for the price i think it's pretty wise to get them below $200 this is a review for il25 c by infinity this speaker is well build for the price and for that guy from new mexico what are you drinking? you can't compare this infinity with your friends ht. FYI if you want to compare a product use a same cable, amps/receiver, same dvd player same power cord, same room, same everything but the speaker, who might know your ht suck and your friends better or one way another, think it wise dude! i think this speaker doing pretty good job for it price(a bit over priced), if you are using a 3 way floorstander better upgrade into a 36c overall for this product well i would say this is a bit over price get them under $200 then it's worth of trying. Strength:
highs mids price i paid looks infinity rocks
Weakness:
none WoW again!. I love infinity. This stylish center fits perfectly on top of my tv, and voice matches perfectly with my other infinity speakers. The mids and highs outa this guy are amazing. Its very powerful and sounds great. My only reccommendation would be if u have the Infinity Il40s or 60s that u get the il36c because its more powerful. Other than that, this speaker is a steal. Weakness:
Price sound quality I am getting rid of all of my Infinity speakers. I have not been satisfied with these. I recently heard my friends new Polk LSi series speakers. They are awesome sounding. He has the whole top of the line LSi series. The LSi25 fronts, LSiC center, and the LSi9's for rears. I have the whole Interlude series and I am quite disappointed. I will be tossing these as soon as I can. Similar Products Used: Polks |

Strength:
I think that, objectively, this speaker gives excellent sound quality and the maple finish looks great. If you want the look of a dorm room then black speakers may be great, but natural wood is a more refined look to match home decor. I laugh when I read reviews of people complaining about how big a center is on top of their TV. If their setup is so "high-end", then they should have a hardwood entertainment center around that TV anyway.
Weakness:
It just isn't loud enough to match my IL-60 fronts. The IL-60s pull away from it in detail as well... This is a really good speaker for the money. I mean how can you go wrong for $125. This speaker is awesome to match smaller speaker setups in smaller rooms like dorms and apartments. Similar Products Used: I have recently upgraded to the IL-36. |

Price, sound quality.
Weakness:
Could be a little louder. This is a good center channel for the money. I do need to boost the output to have it sound loud enough some days, but that could be because it''s about 7 feet of the ground. Similar Products Used: None. |

Strength:
Great sound.
Weakness:
Speaker color (not Infinity''s fault) Speaker cover is gray on Maple finished speaker??? Looks much better now that it''s been finished in black. I purchased this speaker on EBAY for $125.00 after hearing it at Circuit City. I see these listed on EBAY regularly and waited till I found one selling at the right price. It took some break-in before this speaker sounded the way it should, but after that I am completely thrilled. The unit I bought was Maple in color and I wanted black, so I sacrificed asthetics initially for price. After about a month I decided to do something daring and stripped off the original finish and redid it in black, it looks great. Cost me about 5.00 in stain and a little bit of effort but well worth it. Anyway all I can say is this is the best purchase I have made for my system yet. The center channel was the one sore spot in my setup and this definately fill that void. This speaker sounds great and for the price it can''t be beat. I don''t listen to my system at ear shattering levels and feel that this unit at the levels I use sounds as good as the IL36C for much less. If you can find this speaker at anywhere near this price buy it you won''t be sorry. My system consists of: Onkyo TX-SV919THX receiver Onkyo M-504 Amp Onkyo ED-901 AC-3 processor Monitor Audio MAG-903 speakers (fronts) Infinity IL-10 speakers (rear) TIVO 35hr recorder All these items were purchased at EBAY for much less than list price. |
