Great sound! Crisp clear highs, strong mids and lows.
Weakness:
None to be found yet. Here we have one of the two center speakers from the new Infinity Interlude series speakers. I bought this speaker, the IL25C, looking for the ever popular Infinity CC-3 center speaker to go with my RS-3s, which I was using as my main speakers at the time, but I was told that the CC-3s were being discontinued, and that this new model from the Interlude series was the replacement for the CC-3. So, I bought it and matched it with my RS-3s while I anxiously saved up to buy the matching Interlude IL30 floorstanding speakers. This (IL25C) is a great center speaker. I never knew what I was missing until I bought this speaker. It produced a clear and dynamic sound, while producing no distortion or clipping. I tested many DVDs on this speaker, and found a huge improvement in overall dynamic range. Even the grilles are improved over the older RS series, which always seemed a bit flimsy. I now have the IL30s matched to the IL25C, using the RS-3s as my surrounds, and an Infinity BU-120 subwoofer. I never even did a demo of the older CC-3, so I don't know how the IL25C compares to the CC-3, but it is a terrific sounding speaker, well worth the very affordable price. I give it 5 stars for value, because you just can't get a better sounding speaker at it's price level ($300), and I give it a strong 4 stars overall, for the fact that it is a great sounding speaker, but the more expensive ($500) and higher level Interlude IL36C center speaker is the step up from this one, so that would probably get a 5 star rating. Good looking, great sounding
Weakness:
A tad pricy, but you get what you pay for Awesome! Open highs ,natural voicing. Always knew my Klipsch horn wasn't giving me the crispness that I wanted, but was too cheap to replace it. Am I glad I finaly did! The purchase of a new Denon 3801 warranted the upgrade, and now movies sound great! Can't recommend this speaker highly enough! Similar Products Used: Klipsch |

beige grill went a week later saw ccity had on sale for 15.00 cheaper so it cost me 285.00--at list it was a bargain--while there i listened to it against the il 36--was curious--no diff--il36 played louder at ear shattering levels but at normal levels they were identical--salesman said only people with huge humgous rooms need the 36--and i agree--this is all the avg and most people in normal sized rooms need--its big enuff lol as it is--best spkr on the market at ANY price-- Similar Products Used: klh--cc1 |

Clarity and range If you want a great sounding center, this is it! Just aquired a pair of SM150's from infinity and needed to upgrade the center, Kenwood wasn't cutting it! In the search,(dollar-wise as well as sound),this was in the budget for both. When listening in the store, needed to have a close a match as possible with home setup, didn't waste time with the mix and match of the speaker selection, went right to it, as well as the 36c. The highs and lows are a little "tinny" in the store, but whose living room is wall to wall speaker? Although the 36c has a great sound, it would have been too massive for my setup as well as the wallet! There's not much difference to my ears, and I'm not going to appear in some audiophile "setup of the month". Maybe bigger is better, but as the saying goes: "It's not the length of the wand, but the magic of the magician". Similar Products Used: klipsch |

cant compare to 36 friend brought his il36 over--a+b them--sent the 25 back--it dont compare--the 36 is clearer--bassier and all around better-if you can afford the 36 by all means go for it--at normal and any levels the 36 leaves the 25 in the dust--i got mine at ubid refurbished for 260.00 and 30 shipping and youd never know it --out of box looks and sounds like just models you pay tons more for--what a deal-all refurb means a driver was dead and sent back to factory which replaced the bad driver--no big deal--still a NEW unused spkr-- check out ebay--can get a 36 for same or cheaper price--25 is good--but the 36 is the ULTIMATE--and MY room is only 12x14 lol and the diff is amazing |
