Strength:
very detailed
Weakness:
none so far I brought this speaker about 2 days ago. And I have to say its the best investment I''''ve made since purchasing the KLF10s. I was stuck with this model because I could not find any C5s anywhere. I would recommend this center channel to anyone looking for a great center channel. |

Strength:
Highly efficent speaker Clear, crisp sound Excellent imaging quality and detail
Weakness:
People may think its too big, I actually prefer an intimidating speaker The Klipsch RC-3 II Center Channel is high quality, affordable speaker which demonstrates proper imaging, neither bright nor dull. It offers music enthusiasts a rich sense of sound and reproduces mids and highs effectively. Even the upper bass frequencies are produced well, the woofers respond to about 60hz. Dialogue in movies is exceptionally clear and exact. The reference line of Klipsch speakers do not require much power from your amplifier. About 20 watts will sound like a speaker powered with 60 watts. They have a very high efficency, 97 dB; much higher than average speakers. That means you can play this speaker loud, with very little harmonic distortion. Construction is above average. A wood veneer would be a nice addition to the RC-3, however you can achieve the look with the RC-7s. The copper colored woofers are very appropriate with the Legend of Klipsch''s name. They have almost a chrome finish look to them. The grill is rather flimsy, weak, and cheap. Its plastic frame does not hold up well in shipping, or moving around too much. The frame can easily brake if pressed in much. Their look is ok, a nicer quality logo on the front would have been better. The Promedia line uses a nice glossed logo on there grills. I also prefer the harder, wire mesh grill used on the KSC-C1 Center Channel. It would take a lot to break that, and it looked good personally. Overall, these speakers are excellent and highly recommended. If you have a smaller television, I suggest investing in a larger one, or buying a stand to house your 30 lb giant. Klipsch has, and always will be, a Legend in Sound. Similar Products Used: Sony, JBL, Polk, Paradigm, Cerwin-Vega, Bose, Yamaha |

Strength:
Clarity, very efficient (loud), small foot print... Nice feature of tilt if place on top of TV
Weakness:
finish (vinyl)- easily chip -off at corner, could look better like the C1 model, could have lower bass frequency for (2) 6.5", sound stage could be wider! I the past 4 weeks, I probably bought ~10 different brand of speakers to try it out. I was looking for the "right" speaker to mix and master some original music. I probably will use the RC3ii to mater but not to make music due to its clarity/power. I ranked RCii the best among speakers I listed below in term of clarity, loudness, punchiness. Matching Klipsch and Nakamichi RE-10, I have an incredible clean (mentioning clean again?) system... My other favorite sound is the Pioneer IsoDrive ($100/pr) which I will use to mix... Strength:
Not too big for a quality center. Tight bass and mids with clear upper ends.
Weakness:
none that I know of. First let me start by saying that out of 100% I place 90% value on audio or music sound quality and only 10% on video or movie sound quality. I am in the process of building (and learning) the perfect system for my tastes so I am going through the "use and learn" stage. Last year lightening took out my old Onkyo integra TX-88 system that was 15 years old and perfect. Little did I know of all the improvements in the audio world during this time. It''s replacement, a 70 watt per channel Dennon system, was taken out by an Ozzyfest a few months later. We then went to an Onkyo txds 797. and it has gotten better but I still have not found the sound I am looking for. Having said that this is an excellent center speaker when placed with the RF-''s at the main positions. Very clear and responsive. Suprising bass, tight mid''s , and responsive uppers. My problem is that I moved my rf-3''s to the surround position and placed klf-20''s (Discontinued and a "giant killer" pair at $800 from my audio store, could not pass up)at the main position. As the klf-20''s are more effecient, the rc-3 now gets lost when playing music in the 5 channel stereo mode and must make make db adjustments to bring it back. However when watching movies in dolby or neo-6 this speaker more than holds its own. I will rate this speaker 5 stars as it is not the speakers fault that I moved his buddies to the back. I was very pleased with this set-up until my audio store got the RF-7 line in and now I am getting these for my system. However due to my opening sentence I am going to start building a "seperates" system in the next few weeks as again I place importance on audio quality and not video and it seems that with the new AVR receivers you cannot run an EQ. My current system: Onkyo tx-ds 797 Denon rc 220 cd player Center - RC-3 Mains - KLF-20 Surrounds - RF-3 Back - Cerwin Vega(rf-3''s moving to this position soon) Sub - KSW-15 Speaker wire - bi-wired Kimber Cable Inter connects - Kimber KCAG Similar Products Used: Denon (in a box set) |

Strength:
Sound, appearance, construction - it rocks.
Weakness:
Nothing. Well I used to have the Bose super slim piece of crap center channel because of the entertainment center I had. I redid the theater room and got this center channel to match the Klipsch Reference fronts and surrounds - it made all the difference in the world. After tweaking preamp settings making the front and center 'large' I had screaming bass and clarity when watching DVD's. It sounded like I had purchased a subwoofer instead. Strength:
Crystal clear, aggressive, slammin'
Weakness:
None I really can't add anything new to what has already been written on this slammin' center channel. I listened to Paradigm Monitor series, PSB Image series, Mirages, etc. Most were nice, but seemed better suited to music: silky mids, slightly rolled-off highs. None, though, could compare to the Klipsch. Similar Products Used: Infinity, Cambridge Soundworks, Paradigm, psb |

Strength:
Super clear voices, mids are nice. Size (Lets just say it has some balls). The horn tweeter is really nice.
Weakness:
The size may be an issue for some but not me. I love the size. For the money this is a really good center channel. I like the fact that you can hook it up with BI wire. It makes me want to watch all my dvds over again. Klipsch did a really nice job with this one. Similar Products Used: JBL studio series center |
