This is one hell of a speaker. For about $300 these speakers cant be beat. In fact for $500 they cant be beat. I have Paradigm Monitor 7's and this works as a perfect center channel. Voice is very clear. No signs of harshness even at loud levels. I dont really know what they can do as front speakers but the Monitors have the same tweeter and identical 2 woofers. They should be great. I wanted to upgrade to Paradigm Reference Studio 80's and the salesman told me not to. He told me to save my money (could you imagine that, you know he was being honest). He said that he hooked up a $30,000 home theater setup weeks before and used 3 LCR's for the fronts and center and it souded great. That really surprised me considering their price and now i will save for a couple of Marantz MA-700's instead. The salesman also told me I should never need to replace these front 3 speakers saying that it would make very little diference. I agreed after that saying if it aint broke, dont try to fix it. My rating-

well built; strong, open, clean sound

These [along with Paradigm PW-2200 sub] are my first 'upscale' speakers. After 14 months, they still make me smile.
I've read of speakers that expose a recording's quality. These do that. They're as open and clean and subtle as the source allows them to be. Same with the sub, it's as deep and clean, or as muddy, as the source.
I can listen at moderate volumes for nuance, and [as the cliche goes] hear things in music I've not heard before. This reintroduces a taste of that 'first time' thrill to old favorites.
When the urge for stupidly high volume hits me, these speakers flat kick butt. They're still clean and deep, but LOUD.
Job related noises have made me sensitive to some treble frequencies, but these speakers are never harsh.
Wholeheartedly recommended!

Strength:

Great sound, good value.

Weakness:

Cabinet could be a little thicker, not real important.

Everything has pretty much been said... I looked at these speakers because of the reviews here and gave them a listen. Great sound for such a small speaker and the price is worth it. Ended up getting (3) for the front LCR, maye go with some atom's for the rears (I'm not so INTO HT that I want to spend the extra $$$ for the polar ones.) Just ordered some stands for these and I know that will make them sound even better, don't kill me, they are on the floor right now.

Strength:

Excellent sound and imaging. Smooth. Exceptional value.

Weakness:

Hard to find. Not available in many retail outlets.

Why would I bother to post a review? Because these speakers have been so good to me. They've been straight-up fantastic on any source material I've thrown at them. In this price range, they are an absolute no-brainer. When I can pay $2500 a speaker, I might get something else... but until then, I'll happily keep these & a complenting sub.

I have 3 LCR-350's across the front,ADP-170 dipole surrounds, and a PDR-12 subwoofer. The 350's loaf along at LOUD to VERY loud levels before getting that congested sound that all speakers get when they've reached their maximum output. I easly reach Dolby reference levels in a medium sized living room.Stands of the right height are important as the mid-tweeter-mid driver array places the tweeter lower than your normal speaker with the tweeter located highest in the cabinet.I also put rubber blocks under the front of the 350's that are 24" metal stands, which brings the tweeter up to ear level(32-36").I love these speakers.Bang for the buck....NONE greater I could find. The titanium tweeter is excellent. When you hear a high end like this it just sounds so right, there's no mistaking that metalic shimmer on a cymbal that lets you know your listening to something special. An EXCELLENT VALUE!

Strength:

Good bang for the buck, can play loud

Weakness:

tonal balance

After reading all of the reviews here I decided I had to listen to these speakers. Well, the lesson learned is to take these reviews with a grain of salt. The LCR's certainly could play loud without distortion but IMHO they are very hard and harsh in the upper mids and treble. A/B'ed with the lower-priced Mini's, they couldn't hold their own with any music selections. I have the old Polk SDA's and the Boston 9000 suite at home and, to my ears, both of these sound much more balanced and natural than the LCR's. The trip definitely wasn't a wate though, I ended up getting the Studio 40's. Below the 40's, I'd have to go with the mini's. The 20's sound and imaging is VERY close to the mini but cost more for very similar performance. As for the LCR's, I'd give them a 3 for HT and a 2 for music.

After completing my HT set up I was in a quandry as to how I could could improve my center channel speaker. I had a Sound Dynamics CC speaker and it wasn't performing as well as I expected. I went to my local Pardigm dealer and explained my situation. The salesman suggested that I should try the LCR350 to match up with my older model 11Se fronts. I took his advise and bought it. After I hooked it up I sat down to watch the Matrix. I was blown away at the huge difference in sound. This speaker matched my fronts beautifully. It was an excellent match. I haven't look back since. This speaker performs extremely well in all the movie modes and is astounding when I play music in 5 channel stereo. The price I paid for it is shameful compared to the prices that I've seen in other reviews. $300 Canadian Pesos. I highly recommend this speaker to anyone with older model Paradigm mains. And to anyone looking for a high quality center channel, at a fraction of the price that one could pay for a comparable speaker.

My system consists of:
Paradigm 11Se fronts
Paradigm LCR350 Center channel
Paradigm Titan's Rears
Paradigm PS1000 Subwoofer
Denon AVR2800 A/V Reciever
Sony KV35S40 TV
Toshiba 2109 DVD
Pansonic PV9662 VCR
Sony CDP CE305 CD Changer (old but it works well)

I am a man of few words, but I felt inclined to add to the response of this speaker. I have found that it carries dialogue and sound very clearly. I could hope for no better. Audition this speaker and see if it fills YOUR expectations, it did mine

I should start off by saying that I don't own the LCR350 model for my left and right speakers. I do, however, own the CC350... it's center channel cousin.

The CC350 is a great performer and gives incredable sound so I can only assume the LCR is just as good.

I really wanted to post this message because people should consider buying the Monitor 7 towers instead. Where I'm from in Toronto, each LCR goes for about 350 dollars. So a pair costs you a minimum 700 dollars Canadian, and then you have to spend 100 dollars on decient metal stands with spikes. That's 800 total Canadian. I bought the Monitor 7's instead a few months ago and only paid 689 Canadian. Best of all, they come with their own spikes and, because of the larger cabnet, give better bass responce. The 7's can also be bi-wired which, if I recall correctly, the LCR's are not. The LCR's are also rear ported, so they must be kept far from the walls. The 7's are front ported, so it's not an issue.

On quality and sound, I give the LCR's, like my CC, a 5 star rating. But because you can get the much better 7 towers for less than two LCR's I have to give it a 3 on value. If you really wanted to save money and still get alot of sound, the Mini Monitors are a better budget choice. That's what I used to have on the front which are now on the rear.
