Awesome highs, midrange. Voices sound so life-like

Wish on the design it was tilted forward instead of backward because I have no choice but to sit it on top of TV.

I have been using the Studio CC for about 7 months now. I previously had a paradigm CC-170 that I traded in for and paid the difference for the Studio CC. At first I wasn't happy with the power that my Denon 3802 was pushing to the speaker so I bought me an anthem PVA-5 amp and this significantly helped. I have the Studio set to "large" along with my Studio 80's in the front. A power amp on this center channel makes a huge difference. I'm blown away everytime I watch a good movie with this center channel. For example, this weekend I was watching the teaser trailer for DreamCatcher, cranked, the narrative voice sounds so realistic, strong, its scary. This is, "hands-down", the best-sounding center channel under $5K. I've heard center channel speakers costing thousands more that can't match the Reference CC. Sonus Faber, Energy Veritas, B&W, Totem Acoustics, they did not match up. Only the JM Labs center channel for the Utopias sounded better the Reference CC, but it costs 12 times. more. A word of caution - Use good amplification, do not run this speaker with a cheap amplifier or receiver. Enough said...

I have been a great admirer of Paradigm products for a couple of years now and after purchasing the Studio CC my admiration know no limits. I have used several center channel speakers ever since I got into Home Theater in 1996 and say that these are the best I have owned. The clarity of the human voice makes you feel like it is talking to you. The sound from a movie again makes you fell you are right there in the action. Small break in period needed and has to be fed with some nice clean wattage. Nice fit n finish. Perfect match for my Studio 60's (front), Studio 20's (Side Rears), and Monitor 7's (Rear) driven by my excellent Pioneer Elite 45TX receiver.

Fantastic sound reproduction in hometheater and audio. A giant killer among speakers.

I've owned this speaker along with the rest of my Paradigm setup 7.1(Studio 100's,40's,20's + SVS sub) for a while and the sound in both audio and hometheater is to die for. I was only slightly impressed with one other center (B&W Htm1) but the cost was hundreds more. And I just couldn't jutify the price, so I bought this one and haven't looked back. Only one word best describes the Paradigm Reference Studio line "AWESOME" end of story.

Would like to see some kind of mounting hardware included. Possibly different veneers also. Really there is no weakness.

Researched a lot. The best speaker for the money. I liked the B&W Nautilis but couldn't see paying the difference.

BREAK-IN PERIOD, BUT IS THAT REALLY A WEAKNESS LISTENING TO THE SUTBLE CHANGES IN THE SPEAKER.

I have now owned this wonderful speaker for about 2 1/2 months. Yes it true that you must break in a quality speaker, and that just takes time. Mine took about 120 hours of musical abuse of all types. typically 8-10 hours per day, mainly while I was at work. This 32lb behemoth puts out awesome sound, the highs are crystal clear not too bright or tinny. The midrange is well defined and smooth and probably its best attribute. as for the low end, if you set the speaker up to full range this baby can handle it. I drive my system with 105 watts for the front 3 channels and 50 watts to the rears, (receiver soon to be upgraded to the Marantz SR-9200) this speaker handles all the power I can give and screams for more. My fiance is always thinking that other people are in the house. NOPE it's just the speaker, it is that lifelike. I would recommend this to anybody not using mcintosh, theil or pointsource 4.0. Oh Yeah, I paid $400. @ top audio for mine. John there will give you great service.

First of all, this is a V2 and the product year is 2002. The Paradigm CC is a very good center speakers for its price range. I've been using this for almost 9 months now and I believe that I can write a review which is not"prematurely written" because of just enthusiasm alone. After 8 months have passed, it's safe to say that it is fully broken in. In my opinion, theres no center channel much better on the $500 and below price range. Right now, I am bi-amping it with a Threshold Stasis 500 rev II(250W/ch. class A-AB) and the speakers are much better than when it is connected to my receiver(Yamaha RXV-1, currently in use as an HT pre/player only). I believe that the performance of this speaker will not be revealed by just using a receiver as an amp, it doesn't matter what receiver you are using, you will not experienced the brilliance of this center channel unless you opted for an outboard amplification. In my application, this center channel is doing it's job with flying colors, for now. It mates very well with my Martin Logan Ascent(fronts) to my suprise. I've tried several center channels already, except electrostatic centers(ordered an ML Theater center and is still waiting...), to me, the Paradigm Studio CC($425) and the Karat CM-7($600,very fast speaker with freq. response rating of 20-30khz.) are unbeatable! In retrospect, the Paradigm Studio CC V2 is a higly recommended center channel, IMHO, it's unbeatable at its price/performance/realism/coherence range. I'm using this glorious thing with Yamaha DSP E-800(DD,DTS processor, pre-amplifier), Primare A30.5-power amplifier(120W/8ohm,200W/4ohm*5),Paradigm Studio 80 as main speakers, Infinity Reference 50 as rear and Yamaha SW 800 sub.My DVD player is Pioneer 535, but I'll buy a new Pioneer 656A-DVD/DVD A/SACD player soon. The sound of Paradigm Studio CC is excellent, great clarity and image, but need powerful amp to be properly driven.

This center is awesome it is very transparent and accurate. I am powering it with a new Yamaha RXV3300 with 130 watts x6 my mains are the Paradigm Studio 100's and I have another Studio center in the rear with the Studio dipoles as rears this is an awesome set up if you are considering a lesser priced system do your self a favor and go listen to this set up at the dealer. You will go and save a little more money well worth it !!!!!!!

I only used the Paradigm CC briefly before upgrading to the B&W CDM CNT. The B&W is better, but generally costs 150-200 more. The CC is a fantastic center that does little wrong. If you can pay less than 425.00 or so, it's a great deal. Beyond that there are other centers you should look at. If you are coming from a lower-end unit, this level of quality will shock you.
