The Polk CSi5 has turned out, after a few years of daily use, to be an excellent speaker. We really give it a tough workout, between all the action movies and then switching to pure vocal (documentary interviews) it never lets us down, the sound quality is always excellent with finely detailed highs, neutral mids and punchy bass. It is the centerpiece of our wonderful all Polk system, that leaves our guests with their mouths hanging wide open at how great the sound really is. I highly recommend this speaker.

Strength:
Pretty cherry finish.
Weakness:
none I recently got into the home theater scene and have been out demo'ing all sorts of speakers and receivers. I really liked the polk audio csi5 speaker for the warmth and clarity, as well as their musicality. I looked high and low and came across www.acousticsounddesign.com who sold it at very reasonable price. I received my speaker very fast and they were perfect.

Strength:
Clear and concise reproduction. Great appearnace especially in the cherry wood.
Weakness:
Only one - this is a clunking big speaker so you better have somewhere to place it. Bought the CSi5 as an upgrade from a JBL EC-35. The 35 was a upgrade and bought it because it had excellant reviews. However my mains are RTi10s and I wanted to match the design and great looking cherry finish of the front set-up.
Customer Service Ascoustic was great. Similar Products Used: A bunch |

Strength:
Wonderful clear sound when coupled with the RTi8 Polk speakers... Great Value!
Weakness:
none that comes to mind. I owned this product for less than a month before my home was broken into and they stole my Polk speakers. So now I am trying to replace them, and lucky for me, I found the Csi 5 center channel speaker for a wonderful price of 259.00 dollars at acousticsounddesign.com. Compared to the 400.00 dollar price tag I paid before, I am extremely happy. I had these hooked up to a Pioneer Elite Receiver and have just loved the perfect clarity that would be produced. |

Sound clarity, bi-wiring and you really can't beat the price from www.acousticsounddesign.com
Weakness:
None that I have seen so far I purchased this product from www.acousticsounddesign.com for 279! It was a great price for a fantastic speaker! I used to have a CS1 and this thing blows it away. I am hearing details that I hadn't heard before with the CS1. It blends well with my RT-16s and really fills up my HT room. Similar Products Used: Polk Audio CS1, Csi40 |

Wide range, clear smooth sound, Polk quality and value.
Weakness:
Large and heavy. But who cares? Sounds great with my SDA-1C front speakers. The old CS100 just couldn't keep up. Customer Service Polk is always great to deal with. Similar Products Used: CS100 |

Strength:
Build quality. Clear and defined dialog. Great looks.
Weakness:
Don't see any yet. I'm in the process of building a 5.1 system and chose the polk audio CSi5 for the center channel. The CSi5 compliments my RTi8's perfectly. Dialog is clear, and crisp. The CSi5 is a pretty hefty for center channel, but with an aftermarket speaker shelf, it looks right at home on top of a 60 inch sony. Build quality is solid and typical polk. Thanks to acousticsounddesign (www.acousticsounddesign.com) the CSi5 was on my front porch jus 2 days after I ordered it. Similar Products Used: Polk CSi3 |

Strength:
Powerful, wide dispersion field. Able to be tilted upwards to provide more direct sound to the listener. Sound blends nicely with Polk RTi line.
Weakness:
None that I'm aware of. Having just upgraded from 15 year old JBL LX 44 bookshelfs to Polk RTi8's, I needed a new Polk center speaker to timbre match my new floorstanders. While the JBL EC35 I replaced was a great speaker in its own right, the CSi5, purchased from www.acousticsounddesign.com, blends in more smoothly with the sound of the RTi8's. The front stage now sounds perfectly balanced and blends in well with my soon-to-be-replaced Polk Monitor 30 surrounds. Dialogue is crisp and clear, easy to understand with no distortion, and a surprising amount of bass. Take note that this is a quite large speaker, heavy, and will need abundant shelf space, especially if angled upwards. Can also be bi-wired. Customer Service Outstanding price, quick communication, and prompt delivery. The contents arrived undamaged and in perfect working order. Similar Products Used: JBL EC35. |
