Strength:
Excellent seperation, not muddy at all
Weakness:
a bit sharper than most soft-domes For the price, I honestly believe that Wharfedale is the way to go. If you want a smooth sounding, crisp & clear center that does a very good job reproducing the vocal range, and don't want to spend $1000+ on just the center channel, this is the way to go! The Wharfedale Modus Music Center is great. I had bought the Bose VCS-10 centerspeaker for $199.99 and the bought the Wharfedale for $120.00 at Ubid and took |

Weakness:
None yet Got it from UBid for $97 plus s/h. Seems like a good deal so far. Sounds great. One concern: There were no warrantee papers delivered with the speaker, so I called UBid. They gave me a Wharfedale phone # to use in case there is a problem in the future. I suspect that there may be problems from the Wharfedale people if a problem did arise. Has anyone heard one way or another? |

Strength:
Excellent housing, excellent sound
Weakness:
none. This Wharfedale Modus Music Center is a great center channel, even though it is being discontinued. I purchased this piece from Ubid for $140 w/shipping. I can't tell you how much you get for this price!! There are many center channels out there that cost over $300 and by far, Wharfedale Modus Music Center tops it. Simply put, Wharfedale products are superior in sound, build, and reliabilty. |

Strength:
Value, appearance, and of course sound. Particularly good in use for dialogue.
Weakness:
If you have size constraints, be careful. Will not rest lightly on your TV. Exactly what I expected. Clean, accurate on music and dialogue, nice package, at a great price. Bought it at uBid for under $115, including shipping. Also ordered 2 Wharfedale Modus 1.6 speakers, but one is hung up in transit, so will have to comment on entire line-up later. Used with a Onkyo TX-DS 575 (excellent receiver). Similar Products Used: Klipsch, Infinity, JBL (at local super electronics mega stores) |

Strength:
sound, price, appearance
Weakness:
none so far I purchased this center from UBid for $97. Besides being a great bargain, it is the only center I have tested that truely blends with the front and rear. I did find it important to use good cable to hook it up (I used Monster cable). Don't miss the bargains on Wharfedale products currently available at UBid. I also bought the Modus One-Six for front speakers (less than $300/pr.) and a equally pleased. |

Strength:
Very clean, but not overbearing or "tinny" with its silk tweater. The dual drivers with the silk tweater provide a comfortable listening experience.
Weakness:
Not the most attractive speaker. I bought this for $87 + shipping on ubid. You try and find a better deal on a speaker this good. I have listend to the Bose (yuck), JBL, Infinity....center channels and this Wharfedale is equal, if not better in some cases. For those of you with a gazillion bucks to spend, go somewhere else. For those that are on a budget and like to get good sound and quality for the money, buy this. Similar Products Used: Infinity SM and RS, with a Yamaha SW-150 and Sony Components. |
