Strength:

The sub sounds kick a$$. Fair quality. Probably worth $150-$200 retail.

Weakness:

None for $180. MSRP of $2200 is crazy overpriced.

I ran into three dudes in the van. They were selling speaks for cheap. I know what speaks go for so I looked at them. They showed me this flyer but it was bullshlt ($1500 for a set, F'in right). The only thing I really thought looked ok was the sub. The speaks had some issues it seemed. Titanium tweeters, etc... Anyway, I know a nice sub will cost me 150-300$ in a retail store and to build one myself w/ a 130watt amp and a 10 cone its about $100+ and it would take me a few hours. I grew up in Philly so I knew they were doing a "push up" on me. (trying to rush the buyer making them feel like its a one time deal) I needed to see where they stood as far as their bottom line (the read). They said make me an offer. I said $50. They said can you do $500. I said $100. They said $300. I said $150. They actually thought about $150 for a second. So at that point I finally had a "read". I thougt they were paying about $150 for it, maybe slightly less, but surely over $100. Anyway, they went to $200. So I said "Ill compromise and take a chance", so I settled on $180. Its important to make the hustler feel as though you are hurting for money and he is loosing you. Thats why I kept them focus on the fact that I thought there was a great risk involved in spending $180 (i make that in about 2 hours so its no big deal to me). They made money, I know that, but I aint no sucker. Remeber, if you deal w/ a hustler, they are the ones hurting for the sale. Also remember, you have to get a read before you settle. Thats key. These dudes were normal american dudes trying to make some dough for themselves. I admire the work ethic, even if its somewhat shady. At least they are not stealing from innocent people or pushing 'H' to kids. I knew the risk of buying a brand I had never heard of, I also know there are top notch audio brands I never heard of. I knew the risk of buying something no being sure it actually works. But for $180 the risk was worth taking. I think the reason people are so mad is that they are mainly mad at themselves for allowing themselves to be taken. No one forced anything on me. If they tried I would have went off and hurt one of them but they were not that type. Retail stores, when they can, do it everyday. Items they sell this year for $500 are only $100 next year. An uneducated purchase always has risks involved. Dont hate the hustler.

I dont understand how these speakers are wired!!!! How are these things supposed to be hooked up? U plug into the bottom set and only the mid range play, move to the top 2 and only tweeters play. The only way they will work is if your reciever will play like A/B channels at the same time. Does this make any sense or am i retarded?

OK, I was sold the Acoustic Image 6.5 mini-towers through the usual aggressive tactics in Atlanta in August 1999. I have to admit the sound quality isn't terrible on my set, but certainly not worth anywhere close to the $300 I paid for them. My question to the folks on the site who are posing as average consumers yet seem to be the very people hard-selling the products out of vans: 1) if they're worth $1300+, why aren't they sold through mainstream retail instead of unmarked vans? If the product is as good or better than Bose, it should be sold through retail outlets. 2) Why is it a cash only business? 3) Why are receipts generally not given? 4) In the case of a receipt, why is the contact information usually ghost numbers that ring forever? 5) What is your answer to the aggressive nature your "salespeople" use when approached by consumers for a refund at the warehouses where the equipment is stored? 6) Why aren't the speakers found anywhere in "commercial" settings as you suggest such as restaraunts, bars, etc? Simply put, folks, the company and subsidiary sales arms are using false advertising and sales. How can you claim the speakers are worth $1300+ when there is no retail market information? Please, someone try to prove me wrong... My 2 cents.......

Strength:

I dont know they sound good, better than my old pioneers

Weakness:

people say they are poopy and a whole bunch of other things.

Hey everybody I bought these speakers off of two funny guys about a year and a half ago. I was mowing my lawn because my wife is evil and she makes me do that stuff. I have not really had any problems with them. I just got into the internet and my good buddy told me to take a look at those speakers I bought off of those guys a while back. I was expecting to read something I guess a little less HATRED. I don't care if these "van guys" sell speakers all the time or not, I was a miserable mowing the lawn guy until these two cats pulled up and put on one of the funniest demonstrations I have ever seen. I laughed for a good 20 minutes with these guys and handed over some cash I agreed to pay 400 and he said make it 420 for obvious reasons.(If you do not know what 420 is, you do not deserve to know.) I don't know man you guys posting these evil reviews full of hate, I don't understand. What ever happened to AMERICA. I am an American, an entreprenuer and respect other entreprenuers regaurdless if they are selling out of a store with marble floors, the inside of thier coat in manhattan, or a van. What does it matter, Home of the brave land of the FREE! Free enterprise, thats what I thought America was about is that not what are forfathers founded this country on. Freedom and Love, not Hate and Slander. After seeing this website along with others I can only say one thing. Are you that desperate for 400 bucks, if so maybe you should not have made the purchase regaurdless if it was the best deal in the world, make more educated buying decisions, like when you can afford it. Are you just mad because you spent money you should not have because you got sold? also these guys are not a fraud I have ran into them and spoke with them, Fraud would be selling something that does not work, these speakers work almost going on two years. So please ease off of the hatred, leave that to the people who hate are country, not the ones who are part of it and take advantage of the freedom our country was founded on. Last but not least sellers do not stress web sites like these, although you will find lots of followers who post their tough guy reviews like the other reviews they read first, True leaders and the real men will be there own man and hook them up and take thier own opinion of the speakers. cherish freedom dont discourage it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I have taken the liberty of tracking these white vans to their orgin. So if anyone needs directions to the Atlanta Soundivision for their refund. I will be selling it for $10 payable thru paypal. I have spent a lot of time and money tracking these scam artist down and feel I should be compensated. They were not easy to track because they kept figuring out what I was doing and would ditch me so I had to use friends and cell phones so they wouldn't catch on. It worked but was a real pain in the rear. I hope you all get your money back. This product is very cheaply made with poor sound quality.
