Before purchasing, check the link. I don't own a pair, just trying to look out for my fellow audioPHiles. http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=24&threadid=188189 |

Strength:
Great Sound!
Weakness:
Its a scam. Don't pay more than $200 for both speakers. Same story here. But, I'm fairly satisfied with the product. Sound quality is great, especially with DTS DVD movies and PS2. This company would do great if they legitimized their product. Similar Products Used: Sony |

Thier ok highs are nice the box is very nice i have opened them and the speaker box is very strong.
Weakness:
the bass is WEAK so WEAK but with my sub it's all good. Well got the speakers from some fools in a van. So fare all I want to know is how I was scamed. Who makes these and how did the distrbut them? Is thier any stores that sale these? The only reason I'm felling dumb is I could have bought some POKES or JBLS that have a warranty and I would have spent less. I have 200 watts going to them. i want to put more but i was told they well blow at 400. Well e me with some info BECDINO@AOL.COM |

Strength:
strong and clear bass, clear on the whole range
Weakness:
Tweeter produces very slight noise. Of course this noise gets louder when you know that you have been scammed :) yep, that's psychology! Ok, they same story continues in Switzerland... I compared these speakers maybe a hundred times with my Magnat Needles (which cost 800$). They sound a bit warmer than the rather 'metallic' sounding Magnat speakers. I think these 830rl speakers sound good! I guess many of the other reviewers here use bad amplifiers. Otherwise there's no way you can give those speakers only 1 out of 5. Of course I understand your emotions about the deal, but you shouldn't let them have an influence on your rating. After all, we give a rating on the speakers not on the deal! The speakers are probably made in China. I would love to know the whole story behind the speakers and the scam. If you have some infos, please mail to rabauk@shpongle.com. thanx :) Similar Products Used: Magnat |

oh- if anyone in nyc needs these guys address. it's in long island city. I wish they'd get out of my neighborhood. 10-43 48th ave. (basement apt.) label on the door says PANZINI inc. it's near the midtown tunnel or the vernon-jackson stop on the 7. but if you come to get a refund bring friends---they're not going to be happy to see you. Has anybody taken these cabinets apart? I've heard the things are heavy. Either they put bricks in the bottom or the cabinet is not built too badly. I have an idea. A friend of mine is a speaker builder. If the cabinet is decent----3/4" (or greater) particle-board or mdf (medium density fiberboard) -then we might be able to find a speaker-crossover combination that will salvage what you all have. But if the cabinet less than 3/4", then it's not a good idea. The cabinet will flex too much-in turn coloring the output. Also, check the joints. If they're loose(cabinet will rattle or hiss at high ouputs)--not good. This thing needs to be solid. Hopefully there's only one or two models floating around. If there are too many models then this might be too much trouble to begin with. Anyway, someone take one of these things apart. If it sounds feasable, then I'll give him a call and see what it's going to cost to do this. I'm either thinking of a kit with all of the necessary pieces (crossover, speakers, proper amount of insulation, mounting hardware, gaskets, instructions) or just a list of parts that could be purchased from Parts Express online. I warn you though--it's going to be more than a hundred dollars. Keep your fingers crossed. email me at mikebrous@hotmail.com sincerely---mike |
