FYI:
I have had these speakers and VS-12's for a long time...

I was previously using a Nakamichi S1 Receiver to power the CV's....The sound was OK at best...

I have since got a Mackie 1400i Amplifier (500W x 2 MAX @ 4 ohms)
This has made a night/day difference in sound quality..It's an amazing
difference.

So ANYONE complaining about bad sound quality of their Cerwin Vega's should check their Amp.....These are 4 ohm speakers and most amps wont be able to deliver the power that these speakers require.

Please let me know if im wrong!

Built tuff and will take a much abuse from any high power amp. Great bass.

Great load speaker and that's just what it is. Not the beat for sound reproduction but at NASA like sound levels who cares. I use a Adcom GFA 5800 amp and the speakers will take it all.
