I have had the Cerwin Vega VS-150's for about 2 years now and I LOVE them. I have always had other speakers through out the years and have blown up most of them (Can't handel my parties...). I have always heard that Cerwin Vega speakers are very tough and good sounding speakers. There is allot of truth to that statement. I find that these speakers sound great. They have Tons of Bass. I also have a seperate 12 inch powered sub. I am a bass LOVER. These speakers put out allot of bass. I love it when my couch shakes when watching movies !! haha. These speakers work very well for every application I use them for. For the money, they really ROCK !!!

I have 2 pair of the VS-150's driven by 2 of the Carver PM1400 DJ Amps (a little over 700 watts per channel). Each Carver drives 1 pair of the VS-150's.You want talk about rock? These suckers ROCK,ROCK, and ROCK!! I live a 16x80
Mobile Home so it takes some time on the EQ to make everything sound right, but man, take the volume knob to 2.5 and the heads start popping off the screws of the house. The Bass is awesome and will cause the furniture to walk across the floor. When this system was moved into a large open room (30'x40') it will blow most bar systems away! I bought these speakers for 260.00 each at a close out sale and they were worth every penney of it. I'm thinking about building a subwoofer enclosure with 4 of the 15" subs downfiring, and driving it with another PM 1400 in MONO Mode with about 1400 watts (coffee table design).

Strength:

Big Bass, incredible headroom

Weakness:

TOO Big

These speakers are incredible. Full stop. I have a NAD 2100 Power amp with 'power envelope' which produces anywhere between 50-200 RMS and the Cerwins lap it all up. They are extremley sensitive and can be driven to mind blowing levels with even a 10 watter... I didn't think that they sounded 'all that' for a while but after listening to some AR and some B&W I realised that they sound good as well as go stupidly low and loud! I bought mine for 340 UK pounds second hand which is about half price of what they should be (we get screwed in the UK for nearly everything!) and nothing else comes close for the money, even new. If you like your music loud and lairy then I highly reccomend them.

Ok i own a pair of VS-150's and i have a QSC USA900 it pushes 450 wats x 2 at 4 ohms. Tis is by far the loudest pair of speakers i have ever heard in a house. I own a bass explosion cd and can shke the f*ckin
house. the amp is for dj's but extermely well made it's only 700$ canadian.
i have an adcom 555II preamp and its extremely clear and excelent response.
I would put these puppies against anything out there for loudness.127db is
pretty high. Klispch has a pair the used to make a few years back that were 114db 1watt 1metre. Ouch! I have a friend willing to sell his speakers if anyone is interested he has the same ones as me!

I have a pair of VS 150's, and they are just about the loudest thing you can buy for the price. The amazing thing is that the overall sound quality is extremely good as well. The only problem I have had, is the complaining from the neighbors. Unfortunately, I'm re-doing my home system, and these speakers are too big for the space I have, so if anyone would like to buy these wonderful speakers, please e-mail me.

My dad bought these Cerwin Vega speakers when Circuit City first opened about a year ago, and they have been awesome! They handle all 400 peak watts of power with absolutely no distortion!! The bass shakes the foundation of our house, and with our Technics sa-gx700 preamp and Carver tfm-55 amp putting out 500 watts RMS by 2 channels (a little over-powering isn't it), the highs can really hurt. Specs: speakers: 15 inch 3-way
frequency responce: 28Hz-22kHz
Power: 400 watts peak
Spl: 102dB
Price: $500 pair (I think, it might be a little more or less)

Yes, they rock!! And yes, they are not THE MOST accurate system, butunless your anal about that and listen exclusively to classical music
they are simply awsom. Anyone that doesn't think so probably has tin
ears or simply do not like loud, low, and clean sound. Granted that
if you don't have an amplier that will safely drive 4 ohm(and lower)
loads, they might sound like crap because your amp is crapping out.
Trust me, I grew up on car audio with lots of bass, but I always liked
clean sound. My system is powered by an Adom GFA 555 amp augumented
with an Audio Control Phase Coupled Activator. This set up is
extremely loud, clean, and goes low. Don't pass judgement on these
speakers unless you listen to them with a very good amplifer.

I just got a pair of VS-120's about a year ago, and think they are the shit. Although i am by no means an audio tech, I happen to be a fairly serious musician and can't believe how different even the oldest CD's I have sound through the Vega's. They sound unbelievable, anyone who has ever heard Pantera or Fear Factory through a set of Vega's won't dissagree with me there. Anyone who's got a problem with vega's is probably just mad that they had to get their boyfriends to help them move them.
