When I seen the price of $289 Canadian at Costco I thought "This is too good to be true!" It was! Yeah ,the so-called list price is $699. One would think they are getting an awesome deal! It's not that the sub is awful, but I think it is more suited to H/T. Think about it for a moment...a "300 Watt" amp, extras like binding posts and a phase control and a 12 inch woofer all for $289!! Yes this is too good to be true. I had a hard time blending it with my main speakers to get the sound "just right". The level control was "Scratchy"...not a good sign. Sure Audio Ideas gave it a "semi-rave" review, but I put down the magazine for a while and listened in MY ROOM. Two things I've learned from all this: 1. The room is the most "overlooked" component and 2. You get what you pay for.
