Strength:
Unbelievable sound and quality
Weakness:
None My setup uses a variation with the Procinema 80's for the rear speakers. 100's front and center and the 10" sub. I purchased these after installing the same configuration for a relative. I was totally in awe of how these speakers handled music and home theater. I think you would be hard pressed to find any speaker with this performance at any less than 2000.00!! Well worth taking the time to listen to. Similar Products Used: JBL,Boston Acoustics |

Strength:
HT and two speaker + subwoofer sound, range, clarity, looks,
Weakness:
none I was in the market for new equipment. I've read many good things about these speakers and went to hear them. I found them at Park Ave Audio N.Y. a high end audio store. When I walked in I asked a salesperson about the 100's. He told me they were playing them. Apparently they were showcasing them though they were certainly not the most expensive speakers in the store. I checked them out with CD's and then with a DVD. I was very impressed especially with the HT effects. I asked about the 200's but he thought the 100's would be better for my small room. He also recommended the Definitive BP1X bipolar speakers as surrounds (that was their setup). After buying them and setting them up I enjoyed the sound clarity but was disappointed with their range. After a 70 hour break-in the speakers blossomed. The top and bottom are clear and full with great balance. The stereo separation and center imaging are great. They are great for HT and am very very pleased with their performance playing stereo recordings using the two fronts with the 100's subwoofer (80% of my use is this way). They do it all. I played a variety of rock, classical, jazz, and blues and they all sounded fabulous. I used DVD's, CD's, cassette tapes, HI-FI video tapes and my old reel to reel tapes and they all sounded better than on my old speakers which were large (beloved) Warfdale's. My older music was better than before, something I was concerned about with the upgrade of the speakers and a new Marantz 7000 receiver. Not only great sound at a good price but they are small and attractive. I went back and got the speaker stands made for them. Even better. If you want HT and are interested in getting great two speaker stereo this does it all. I could not be more satisfied. |

Strength:
Small size and flexability.
Weakness:
built in stands These Pro 100's are small, lightweight and have attached stands so they can be put or mounted almost anywhere and directed to the exact listening area. They have extremely good highs and midrange. The 100's must be used with a quality subwoofer to get full range results. You can definitely buy better speakers but few would match up to these in this price range or flexabilty! I upgraded to the DF 15" sub because I believe when it comes to home theater, you can never have enough bass for major impact! These speakers also did a fairly good job on music but the sub might be a little too boomy without reducing the volume to the sub. I also upgraded to the C2 center speaker because it sounded more natural and less tinney then the smaller center, plus it had the matching mid-range speaker to go with the 4 Pro 100's which I believe was a better timbre match. I have a Denon 5.1 Receiver that is rated at 85 per channel that is set up in a 25 x 17 room. These speakers handled the power even when cranked up loud enough to run you out of the room! I Got a discount of 20% on the package deal (paid 1400.00 plus tax) Similar Products Used: Paridigm monitors |

Strength:
Sound and Build Quality is outstanding, given it's such a small speaker.
Weakness:
Hard to find local dealers I'm using a variation of the ProCinema 100 Setup (using 80's as rear surrounds) and the sound is great. These little speakers can play very loudly with little on no distortion at all. Most Sub-Sat systems I listened to tended to have something missing in the upper-mid bass area, sorta like a hole where the Sats and Sub did not meet. These speakers blend perfectly with the sub, no audible gap that I can hear. They also seem very well made, and Ive also heard that Def Tech has a good reputation for customer service.
