I have bought a pair of c-4 recently and my main comments on these are:Excellent bass, quite deep and very well defined
Magnificent, detailed and natural mid-range
Exceptional and precise highs and very highs
Huge soundstage and incredible imaging
High quality finish and a professional look and sound
Definitively a must have and easily merit a global note of 5+ stars

I can not really review this item accurately since I just bought the C-4 speakers last night, actually I originally had the C-2 speakers. The C-2 speakers were good speakers, but I was window shopping at The Good Guys and I guess the C-4 speakers are being discontinued, so they were on clearance and my c-2 speakers were not a month old yet so I exchanged the C-2s for the C-4 speakers and saved fourty bucks. The C-4 speakers were only $229.00 each. Go check out the good guys and they might have them on clearance. I love these C-4 speakers, more bass!

I have to agree with everyones review. These speakers are a unbeatable deal at the price. I wasn't even shopping for speakers, I was shopping for amps and the sales person at my local store played the Rotel amps through the C-4s. Well my jaw hit the ground when I heard them, I never had heard so much music before. I played the new Steely Dan cd(2 againts nature) and it was like night and day over my speakers.

Even my wife notices a difference with them and also she loves the finish on them, they look like fine furniture.

I have them teamed up to a older Hafler DH-220 amp and a new HK 8370 cd player with HDCD. The sound is awesome. Don't walk.........run to buy these speakers because they have been discontinued. 5 stars all the way, I lov'em!

Sometimes we heard a little bit too much of middle bass.

I advise my peers that this exceptionnal model and the others speakers of the energy connoisseur line is supposed,
if not really done presently being discontinued.

I invite anybody who may have the opportunity to hear the
C-4 or another model in this line of loudspeakers at least
to give a serious listening before making a decision of
buying a new pair of loudspeakers because these one
represent a true steal in terms of high quality ratio
versus price in the sometimes confusing world of hi-fi.

I am always impressed if not surprised every time that I
hear energy c-4.

The main attributes aiming these speakers are resumed there-

.exceptional imaging for a speaker at this price
.professionnal look and styling.

A serious audiophile must give an audition to the entire
energy loudspeakers connoisseur series.

I think that it is the rigth time for paying attention to
these loudspeakers.

From what I know and have heard of; the connoisseur series
is supposed to be discontinued and by this fact, it repre-
sents a very good occasion to buy an audiophile speaker at
a very advantageous price versus quality ratio.

I paid $444, plus shipping for a pair of these from Marc at The Audioshop in Ottawa, Ontario. Excellent speaker for the money with great depth and breadth of soundstage, clarity and detail. Too bad they are discontinued!
