Ahh..listen up folks...at a final price of $145 (Free shipping at Mercata.com) for a hall of fame - highly recommended speaker, it just does NOT get any better than this. Unless of course you're receiving signals from the MPL (Mars Probe Lander)advertising a lower price at this performance/quality. Then you owe it to the world to let us all know. The previous reviews accurately sums up its performance. I am also in the process of learning how to play around with the Mids and Highs adjustable settings at the rear. Keep an eye out for the "Power Buys" available at Mercata.com. Do yourself some justice and get one of these ASAP! A TEN*STAR rating for Value, Performance, and Built quality. Two Thumbs up to Infinity Systems!!

Strength:

Sound, style

Crystal clear dialogue, excellent complement for the RS-5's (also using Infinity QPS-1 surrounds and SSW-10 subwoofer). After a month of research, I was going to purchase the CC2 until I found that many smaller web resellers (the places with the prices that are so great you don't know if you can trust them) are putting new, boxed items on eBay. Paid $210 plus shipping by going this route -- only a fraction more than I was going to spend on the CC-2. If you don't want to bother with the auction process, try contacting the reseller directly... there's a good chance they'll have plenty in stock and sell it to you at the minimum bid. Can't beat it!

Strength:

Transparent, Crystal Clear, Dynamic Tight Sound

Weakness:

bass could be deeper

the CC-3 has made the biggest single improvement to my system of any individual component. i didn't realize how much better sounding it is than the CC-2.
very clean and razor sharp with excellent clarity and dynamics. for the first time, dialogue and effects sound like they are coming from a high end component. i recommend this speaker very highly if you can still find it anywhere.

Strength:

Very good sound

Weakness:

None noted

Seems most of these reviews keep referring to what great sound this speaker has FOR THE PRICE. That's really aggravating to me because how can anyone make any sort of purchase decision based on qualified opinions? But enough of that. I purchased the CC-3 about 6 months ago to complement my Overture 3s. They use the same drivers so I figured no other center would match as well. So far it has been an outstanding performer with both music and movies. I am quite pleased. Since I've never read a professional review on it or seen test results, I have no idea how it compares with other centers. Hell, off axis response may totally suck, but I'm always in the sweet spot anyway. And with the grills off, two Overture 3s and a CC-3 sure do look cool!

Strength:

Ability to voice match other speakers

Weakness:

not great bottom end

OK, first of all the one star review about ten reviews down from this one is DAMN funny.

This is a good-to-great speaker. For less than 250 I don't think you will do better. Especially if you already have other speakers. The ability to voice match the speaker with adjustable mid and high knobs is fantastic. Personally I run a Denon 3300 and I just set the center channel to "small" which cuts everything below 80Hz. Now it sounds great. To be honest, you need to get yourself a darn subwoofer anyway. Who uses their center to produce bass? I built myself a dual NHT 1259 sub with an NAD 2200 dedicated to it and my life is happier ever since!

Strength:

Very good speaker-Clear-Plays music real well-great reproduction of center channel info---Able to adjust speaker to match

Weakness:

None so far

I'm very pleased with this speaker. I listened to alot of center channel speakers before I bought this one. I also read the reviews on this and other sites also. One thing that was important to me was the ability to reproduce music very well and this speaker does just that. Its also does a very good job in my at reproducing dialogue in movies. Overall this speaker was a great bargain at $174.00 on Mercata. I have no complaints. I was willing to spend twice as much for a center channel but did not have to. I recommend it to anyone looking for a great center channel speaker.

Strength:

Great Clear Sound
Nice Match with RS-5 Fronts

Weakness:

None so far

After reading the rave reviews here, I decided to upgrade my relatively new CC-1 to a CC-3. Bought the last one, a display model, at Circuit City (N. Darthmouth, MA) for $199.

The CC-3 works perfect with the RS-5 fronts and RS-2 surrounds I have. Whereas I have a lot of trouble listening to dialogs without cranking the receiver way up with the CC-1, the same dialogs are loud and clear with the CC-3. The wider frequency range also helps with sound effects and music scores too. Now I understand why some home theater setups with 5 identical speakers. The center channel is definitely very important.

As for the voice match dials, I found that the treble one has some effect on the top end while the "mid" dial does very little. I can't say how well it'll match speakers from other brands, but I believe any one with the Infinity RSs will be very happy with the CC-3.

The speaker is indeed quite large, but I will definitely overlook that for the better sound I'm getting.

Strength:

very clear dialogue and was very cheap

Weakness:

nothing at the price i got it for.

Well.. this is a pretty nice center channel. Makes a huge difference when watching movies. Before i had the center channel signal go to my front speakers and i had trouble understanding the dialogue without turning the treble up and the bass down, and that just sounded like crap. So i was looking around and i found this speaker pretty much for free cept i had to pay for shipping and some bs company handling charge. But i would definately say this speaker is worth every 1 of the $21.90 i payed for it. I mean for that you can't even get a pos klh. Oh yeah and to the people saying this center channel is huge, check out the bic america dv62clr.. makes this speakers look like a dwarf. Least this one will fit ontop of a decent size television.

I bought a floor model for 212 with tax. This is truly one of the best centers a person can buy. The speaker is a little big, but with the fact you can voice match the treble and mids individualy is outstanding. The center has a 1 in. silk dome tweeter and 4 inch mids. One of the speakers that truly live up to reputation.

I got the cc3 at Mercata for $146.00 after $50.00 new user discount. It is an excellent center channel. You will not find a better center for under $200.00. I still haven't figured out the adjustable mid and high settings. I really can't tell much different when changing settings, but I have not really tried yet. Does anyone have any suugestions on dvd or cd to use to try to match timbre with fronts?
