I need to buy another set of these speakers. I bought my current one 2 years ago. I can't seem to find one lately on the web. Does anyone know of any web stores that sell these speakers?

Just got these speakers as a start to putting together a Dolby Digital home theater setup. So far I only have an older Technics receiever to power them but
I have to say I am very impressed. They have replaced a pair of Cerwin Vega L7s and they are far superior. (As they should be!)
You can really feel the bass from these little guys. I was amazed by how small they are, and by their heft. They weigh 30 pounds each. Make sure you have a solid stand for them. I am no audiophile so I can't comment on the nuances of finer highs and crisp mids (or whatever) but I know what I like and I LOVE these! I highly recommend www.cyberteria.com as a source for them. Price is just $650 and they were an excellent source to deal with. Prompt email responses (couple of hours) and quick delivery.

In November '98 I purchased 4 Ovt1 + CC-3 center channel for a new home theatre setup. I am driving them with a Pioneer D-906S and they sound EXCELLENT! I have a small listening area and didn't have room for large speakers and IHO these were the best sounding small speakers period. They retain very good bass even when listened to at low volume levels. Watching the DVD Fleetwood Mac the Dance in Dolby Digital gave the impression of being at the concert without having to shake the walls with high volume. In stereo listening to cd's on one pair they rival my old floor standing 15" speakers. I would recommend anyone buying small speakers for stereo/home theatre give a listen to these before they buy. The price was 1976$ including the center speaker 4 factory speaker stands and shipping. O.C.

Strength:

Soundscape, brilliance, clarity at low volume

Weakness:

Material and color of casing

I'm very slow decision maker. Listened to speakers on and off but still used my B&W DM4 bought more than 20 years ago. Needed more brightness especially at low volumes. Didn't know these speakers but saw an ad in the paper for $250 a pair, checked out all the specs & reviews on Internet en drove to the store prepared for another long maybe-yes-maybe-no session. Spent twenty minutes listening and comparing and felt that if I didn't acknowledge this sound quality I might as well die with my B&Ws. Congratulated myself ever since. It's like when I bought a NAD receiver: there is a whole collection of music waiting to be rediscovered.

Listened to these at CC and was amazed at the sound, even compared to the Overture 2 and Overture 3. The 1's were great and I personally will take them over the 2's and 3's given the cost savings. Anyway if you're planning on a pair, I've been on the hunt for the best price and so far "One Call" has them available fot $779.00 including shipping (minus the sharp looking stands). At http://www.cyberteria.com/categories/electronics/infovtr.htm has them for $645 plus shipping!!! Which is a great buy. These will be my next purchase, ......I think.

These speakers are absolutely incredible! They have great clarity and excellent bass. I was astonished by the dimensions of the speaker. These speakers can easily compete with much larger and more expensive models. I looked at various other models, but none sounded quite as impressive as the Overture One's. They have a flimsy speaker cover, but I can over look that. These speakers are combined with a yamaha V-1103, in my system, and it is an impressive sounding system. I was originally using Bang and Olufsen CX-100's; they don't even compete with the Infinitiy's. Don't get my wrong, the B&O speakers sound great, but lack the bass power of the Infinitiy's. I like techno and rock and the bass is sometimes hard to reproduce, but the Infinity's are awesome. These speakers can also reproduce high frequencies well. They excel at producing high frequencies in symphony music. I heard things that I'd never heard before on some of my CD's! I can't recommend these fantastic speakers enough. Just listen to them and you'll realize why everyone loves their sound, size and value!

Strength:

size, sound, all round performer.

Weakness:

I suspect they can be overdriven quite easily, turn the bass a bit lower or use a sub. Not easy to hang from a ceiling / wall, they are quite heavy.

I paid just $400 for a pair of these Infinity's, I think they give excellent performance relatively to their size. They handle complex music much better than my Cresta 2's (which becomes a bit blurred with pop / rock) and sound very good all round. Also very good for jazz and classical music. Some might say that the speakers lack punch, but in a small to medium room they will do just fine.
System:

Denon 2800
Pioneer dv 525
2 infinity overture 1's
2 Kef cresta 2's
ixos digital coax interlink
Philips 8504 28" widescreen TV

The initial price scheme of the Infinity Overture line of speakers was a bit awkward, with $1200.00 bookshelf units marketed relatively close in price to their floor standing cousins. It is now possible, however to purchase a new boxed pair of Overture Ones for $600.00 or less, making them quite a bit more appealing. The Overture 1 cabinet is not MDF, but rather aluminum coated in metallic black paint. As a result, keep in mind that its finish can become easily marred, revealing the ugly greyish primer that lies beneath. Despite this minor caveat, I highly recommend these wonderful speakers. They're now reasonably priced, and have the lowest bass extension you're likely to find in bookshelf units. They're also amazingly heavy for their size as each contains a 150 watt 8" sub, so watch out.

I had been searching for a good center channel speaker to go with my kappa 6.1s. I had tried a CC-3 and a Kappa video center and was not impressed with either one. I had heard the Overture 1's many times before and kind of had mixed feelings about them. I wandered into my local CC store the other day and they had the Overture 1's on sale for $299! I figured what the heck, it's a great price and there is a 30 day return policy so if I don't like them I have nothing to lose. Well I can safely say that the OV1 is a great center channel speaker! An excellent midrange and maybe just a touch bright on the high end. I've finally found a center speaker to go with my Kappa's. Highly recommended.
