Loud accurate sound

I upgreded to these from my previous Infinity Reference 51 MKII''s. They are very accurate and clean, they produce a lot of volume, and easily fill my listening room (400 sqft), which the references hadn''t been able to. The have ample bass, even though it can be a bit muddy at times. You don''t need an aditional subsoofer for stereo listning. Highs and mids are excellent. Now I can hear music very loud without fatigue. Removal of grills is tricky, but if you''re careful you can do it without breaking the pegs. They are extremely big though, and have a looming presence in your living room. Powerful Bass reproduction

Sometimes too much Bass, too little Treble

I actually have a pair of Delta 70 speakers which, from my knowledge aren't available in the United States, but onlu in Europe. I bbought these in The Netherlands for 1200 guilders a piece which at this time is about 600 dollars. So the pair costed me 1200 dollars, but I had a discount as the retail price should actually be 14 dollard per pair.
The speaker is one that I liked from the outside immediatly. Even more so from the inside! The sound is really incredible. Powerful Bass which at time (esspecially in Surround) is a little too much. I for that reason do not often use a subwoofer. The highs are also nice with crsip clear sound and good body.
I would recommend these babies to anyone enjoying music or Home Theater that want that extra big sound, but doesn't want to spend too much money!

This is one good looking speaker and have nice sound, too. For the price, I think it's well worth it. Although I am still not happy about the space it occupies my small apartment, I guess that's what I will have to take.

Bass reproduction, clarity, sense of prescence, soundstage, pure power handling ability.

Treble can be a bit too much at very high volumes. This may be also due to my preamp though.

Now, I thought these things were great when I first got them, but when I added the poweramp, things just got a hell of a lot better. Bass was crisper, Soundstage more lively. I think these speakers, all round for the music i listen to, are the best. I haven't heard any other speaker that can provide the pure gut wrenching thump that these can, and the delicate subtleties of the human voice. Some do things better, but not everything, and that is wy I like this speaker. When positioned corectly, in the right room, these speakers are awesome. To all the people saying there is not bass? you are probably in a room 4footx5foot with a 6 foot roof, or you do not have a clue how to place a loudspeaker, because these speakers can reporduce 20hz at -10db, which sort of provides no need for a sub.

I decided to buy these speakers when i read several good reviews.
I took my Cyrus II Amp and Marantz CD63SE to the dealer so that i would have the chance to hear them with my equipment, and i was very satisfied by the sound of the demo Delta's, but the dealer's room was completely "Naked" without any carpets or drapes in complete contrast to my room which is carpeted and draped.
I was immediately disappointed when i plugged in "my" Delta's straight out of the Box.
After around 18 months i still have mixed feelings about them, although they were greatly improved by replacing the (very thin) internal wiring with Higher Quality AudioQuest Type 6+
Certainly they can play very loud without strain, and generally manage to sound very "clean", but there are some serious flaws in the sound of the Delta's.
For a start (and i'm surprised that i'm the only one noting this) the treble although very fast, simply is too rolled off (almost dull). The upper-mid lower-treble region (2-5KHz)is too pronounced, and it sounds like there is a "hole" in the treble response from 8 to 12KHz. Higher treble is better however.
Lower mid (Around 300-500Hz) is also a bit down robbing away the warmth of wooden instruments and vocals.
Bass is very well defined but it would benefit in my opinion from softer suspension for the Bass Drivers, since the Bass roll off is quite sharp.
In absolute terms these are not bad speakers but i cannot rate them higher than average.
3 Months ago, i asked the Infinity Agent here (HighTech) to supply me with new complete tweeters (not just diaphragms)in case they are defective, but have not heard from them since...
Can someone let me know where i can order complete Tweeter Units?

Clear highs, powerful sound -- nice and loud

No major faults

I had four 250 watt, 12" KLH hooked up as my front speak stacks until I decided I wanted a more refined sound. I moved a pair to the back when I bought a set of Infinity RS5's which are an excellent speaker. But then I saw a pair of Delta 60's for $400 shipped. I have not regretted the purchase one bit.
These things produce massive sound. Some reviews say too little or too much bass for which I cannot accurately comment -- but I can say that matched with my BU-120 sub the system has very nice bass, especially for home theater. I'm a college student in a dorm room so I can rarely enjoy the amounts of bass this combo produces without getting complaints about rooms (other than mine) shaking.
As for treble, these speakers are very clean due to the EMIT-R tweeters they feature. Infinity's reference series does not really compare with the highs that these produce. However, with RS5's as my rear speakers, you can drive the system as a moderate level and produce more volume than I can possibly handle in a small dorm room.
My recommendation? The Infinity Delta 60s are my pride and joy. They are wonderful speakers that I am very pleased with. If you can find a pair at a decent price (up to $800 or so) I would recommend picking up a pair.

One of the best sounding speakers ever, for the money.Nice looking,lots of tecnology gone into these babys on the inside and the outer.

I am no phile but i have been told that the smaller the base speaker the more refined the speaker can be,maby this can lead to somthing but we wont ponder on this one.

Again we are shown just how good infinty can be.After hooking up these speakers i relized what is meant buy the fine art of philed speakers.Dont listen to any idiot that will give this speaker any thing less than 4 stars,just take my word and listen to them for yourself and you will see what im talking about.

This speakers is AWESOME! I bought it for $720 from a local audio store. After compare it with RS-5 and Composite 2, I finally decide to get Delta 60. it produce a great deep and solid bass, and a very clear trebal. this speakers is better than RS-5 and Overture series, as you can see, this speaker equipped with 2 8" woffer, it really matter. I've try delta 40 and 30, these speakers didn't produce the amount of bass I looking for. Concclusion, 5 star all the way
