These are great if you like good looks and somewhat crispness. Otherwise, they're a joke. The sound from them isn't that clear and natural, kinda all mixed up. The bass is fine if you like audible bass, not bass you can feel. (Bass heads, don't get this if bass is what you are looking for from them.)These speakers distort quickly not even at a high volume even though Infinity says they have a large gap for deeper bass and a short voice coil. The woofer is absolutely NOT bonded to the surround via "molecular bonding," rather is physically bonded using adhesive glue(a thick layer of it). Oh, and the "Acoustic Resonance Filter" is just a little piece of that poly-fill stuffing glued on the inside of the box.. only like a little 8inX4inX4in; there is plenty of space behind the speakers for standing waves to develope. Well, I thought the tweeter was nice and crispy, and the looks were nice. I would'nt want any of my friends to buy them though. I went to a hi-fi store and looked at B&W 602's, many Polks, Bostons, and Paradigms. I bought Paradigm Reference Studio 20's... |

I am now in a dilemma in getting the 2000.4 or 2000.5. These two has a very large price difference as it is discontinued right now and I am planning to get a subwoofer. (BU-2) From what I observed from all the reviews, the 2000 series produces good and crystal clear sound but they are lacking lots of bass. So, I am hoping for a few piece of advise as I am planning to get a pair of 2000.4 and a BU-2. What do you guys think? |

These speakers sound good if you have a powered sub. They have good imaging andcrystal high's. If you have a Dolby Digital reciever you can put htem on large |

J&R Music in NYC is closing these out at $300 a pair, they took the px down to $270 when I bought a receiver and CD player. For the money, they're very good speakers. I agree with many of the other reviewers' opinion that the bass is wanting, and that mids and highs are pretty clear. I'm wondering if they'll make good rear surround speakers at some point... |

Strength:
Stylish looks, crystal highs, cheap price
Weakness:
don't know of any I got these slightly used for $200 for the pair and now use them as my fronts. I have the Infinity BU2 sub to handle the bass. The bass on the 2000.5 speakers are enough, but not overwhelming, but what do you expect from a 6.5 inch driver? Almost everyone should have a sub anyways, so who really cares? I also have the RS3 for my rears and the CC3 for my center running off a Yamaha receiver. I hear a lot of people claim that there are better speakers out there, but for the money, the set up that I have blows me away!!! I would definetly recommend Infinity to anyone, especially these speakers for the price I got them for!! Similar Products Used: Infinity RS3 |

I just bought these speakers today from Crutchfield.. I paid 250$ for em.. not a bad deal.. I think for the money that I paid, I got a reppy big bang for my buck.... these speakers sound sweet.. from movies to music.. they can handle it all. the Highs are crisp and clean, when you hear a violin it is as if like you are there. The stereo imaging is excellent.. I have yet to rate it as a surround sound speaker because right now I lack a center channel...and rear speakers. The bass leaves some to be desired..but they arent meant to have overwhelming bass. so that is to be expected.. if you can find these for around what I paid I suggest that you go get them.. they are worth it. I give the spakers 4 stars... |

This pair of speakers kicks, I got 'em for 199 from Crutchfield and they are awesome. It's true that da bass sux accordin' to some pplez, but i guess a decent subwoofer will easily fix this nasty problem. For such a low price I think everyone should just get 2 pairz of 'em and use them for da surround speakers too, I match 'em with da Infinity CC-3 centerz and now I am deciding to either stick wiff my old reciever or to get da Harman Kardon AV75 or da Onkyo or da Sony ES, damm there are juz too many recieverz out there now to decide, if anyone wanna hook me up wiff some Comments, that will be cool :))Wells, it is an aboce average product and I will give it a 4 but cos of da extreme price, it really does deserve a higher grade :P |

Picked up these beauties for $300/pr from J&R. I'm driving them with a Harmon/Kardon AVR40, with MIT Terminator 6 speaker-wires (I can't recommend these enough). Other gear includes a Desper Spatializer S250, an old Sony changer, and a Kenwood SW200 powered sub. While the bass from these speakers is somewhat lacking, as noted by several other reviewers, the mids and highs are crystal clear. The silk-dome tweeters with the elliptical wave-guide add up to absolutely superb imaging--much better than anything else I auditioned in the same price range. And, to top it all off, these speakers have a very small footprint and are drop-dead gorgeous! From a price/performance standpoint, I'll have to give these speakers 4.5 stars; if they had more bass they'd get the full 5. |
