Strength:

Impression of value.

Weakness:

Realization of rip-off.

Man, am I bummed. We should all form a support group to go find these guys. Seems like quite an organized operation since it seems to have the same MO nationwide. Any lawyers here?

Guess I'll make he best of them. You know they are crap when you stick your hand in the bass hole and feel the crappy thin wires.

Strength:

Sounds ok,makes my minisystem sound loud...

Weakness:

Comes from the back of a van...

Well... I guess I was right about this- too bad I did not listen to myself. 2 guys pull up by my car, (this time it's a blue van.) I don't know what I was thinking, I didn't even want speakers, but they were saying that- "We made a mistake in the delivery, and we are trying to get rid of these." Damn- I never felt so stupid in my life... Oh well, but I do agree we should do something about this. We should go to 20/20 or something... and warn others of these con artists... Thank god I only paid them $200...

Strength:

a lesson well learned

Weakness:

Wanting something for nothing

Damn, damn, damn..... i guess these little con artist are in California as of today. Earlier my finace called to say, he purchased some speakers from the back of a blue van. he said they were they were 2 white guys who both had short hair. they told him they worked for the warehouse and they had this extra home theatre surround sound system they were trying to get rid of. they even sold him on the warrenty thing and gave him a name a phone number. (310)968-9863 and the name is Che. I called the number and it sounds like some guys answering machine and he's just playing music. Anyway, he was all excited and wanted to see how much he saved. So we were doing internet searches for this brand and model and that's how we found out about the scam. Well, this goes for us and everyone else who got suckered.... it's not right but we were wrong too! i guess we just paid $300 bucks to learn a lesson not to try to get over. and not to fund criminals to save a dollar. besides it's kinda stupid to believe someone who riped off the manufacture will not ripe you off. Enough of that. For those who still want revenge. Their last stop was Culver City (LA) around 3:00 pm and they are now traveling in a blue van. unless there's more than one.

Weakness:

My ego was hurt. . .

Hey
Yeah, so I just was scammed too. I usually don't go for this stuff but my roommate busts into my room screaming "DUDE, you have to come check this out!" I am the only one with money so I ended up fitting the bill (which was a bit more than you all paid so I am embarrassed to say). In any case Yes I was scammed but I hooked everything up and I really think they do sound good. I am NOT an audiophile, just a casual listener, so to me they sound as nice as some other expensive units. Also, I was actually looking for some new tower speakers so its not a total loss. I find this all humerous because while we are scammed . . .the products really arn't that terrible . . .

Strength:

The law may never stop them if they stick to their own product.

Weakness:

Manufacturing & warehouseing is not as mobile as the sale organization.

I bought them from white van guy Chris Brady, cell= 905 783 0727, van reg. 536 GKD, Eagle Sound Dist, Inc. Mississauga, Ontario. He had great documents, this scam is getting very sophisticated. It relies on the buyer's ego, they flatter you and demo the speaker with the engine running, outside, connected to a car stereo with a monster amp between the front seats. One reviewer says that there are thousands of speakers in their warehouse, and the number of scams per month indicates that there are multiple teams, running a fleet of vehicles internationally. The probable value of the product is a few hundred dollars, tough to tell, but it is mostly the tax man and the retail channels that are getting ripped off here, not you the egotistical scamee. My wife runs a PI company, so she could find these guys if she wanted to, but you have to admire their salesmanship. They are the best sales people that the capitalist world has to offer, and the scam is probably legal enough to let them keep it going indefinately. Someone at the top of that empire is probably a millionaire kid by now. How would you like to earn five to eight grand a day, tax free, just for touring around parking lots, and hustling unaccompanied individuals? Then, how about making a hundred times that by recruiting dope-smokers from California? Then, how about using your punk marketing network for world domination.... Unfortunately, we the market want to see more of this kind of thing, otherwise we the market would not allow black marketing to exist. If we were less hypocrytical, we would vote for a Government that made stealing legal. We suck, and we should be ashamed that we failed the test. Anyone want to send $100 to the Government now in unpaid taxes? No? In that case, how can you say that you are more honest than those marketing superstars with the happy tobacco?

i was going to circuit city to buy some speakers, while at the parking lot of a bank nearby, got scammed by the white van man/con artist myself. right now their somewhere in the san francisco peninsula. was going to pay them $300 but good thing my atm would only give me $200 at a time, so they got me for $200 plus a used pair tennis shoes, orlando magic vest, and old breakaway sweatpants with piss stain. lol, hahaha.

Strength:

Good Scam

Weakness:

I'm a dumbass and fell for it.

I had the same scenario happen as everyone else. I was leaving the bank when the white van came up and the guy gave me the story, the warehouse was only supose to load 6 speakers into the van when the actually loaded 8. I got off a bit easier then anyone else and paid only $180, but still... I haven't tried them out yet, so I haven't heard the quality. The locale fox station here is pretty good about covering scams so I will probably call them and let them know about it. I doubt anyone will be able to get to the bottom of it, but you never know.
