I just got the D315 yesterday, and although I have only listened to them for a couple of hours, so far I am pretty impressed. They are very, very loud; I can here them about two blocks away, when using an old HK amp that puts out 125 Watts, with no distortion. They are very clear and crisp, but at the point of being almost hollow. I guess I need to play with speaker adjustment a little, to try to improve this. Also, the midrange seems a little off. But for 150/pair. I am definitely happy.david |

I have had a pair of these JBL 315 now for about 2 months hooked up to a Sony STR-DE725. The sound for overall music and movies is great! The bass is more than enough. I listen to all kinds of music, prefer guitar oriented stuff like hendrix, vai, and clapton and stevie ray vaughan, the midrange is very good on these. I plan on getting a pair of the JBL 308's for rear surround and a center speaker later. Am also looking into Cerwin Vegas. I used to own a $1,ooo set of the Bose AM cube speakers with the subwoofer, and these JBL's blow them away! at $200 a pair you defintly get your maoney's worth. and by the way they are LOUD! i never turn my reciever up past 3! |

i just bought these speakers from Circuit City about a month ago...these are great for bassy music (rap, etc.), and the loudness of the bass can be compared to cerwin vegas' 15"ers. my friend has a slighty old model of 15" cvs, and in comparison, the JBLs sounded almost as loud..however, cost MUCH less...but, the high end on these spakers is not very clear and defined...if you choose to get these, i recommend buying a high quality center channel to go with it... |

Strength:
massive bass,high wattage capability
Weakness:
neighbours complain I run these with a Yamaha RXV-395 and they sound amazing. I got them for my birthday and my friends couldn't believe how loud they were. I love to listen to music with alot of bass and these deliver it with no problem. The only thing I don't really like is the midrange, it can be a bit loud at times. So if you are looking for a top notch speaker that will deliver the goods these are for you. |

Strength:
Incredible bass,overall very clean sound,PRICE
Weakness:
none I am absolutely floored by these speakers. I was planning to spend about $400 for a pair of speakers-however nothing I heard compared to these which were going for 129 each at PC Richard. When they offered the pair from the floor to me for $100 total, I couldn't get them in my car fast enough. Very clear sound, strong bass and very loud. Minimal distortion compared to other speakers I listened to with woofers of this size. Its certainly worth checking out local dealers as I'm pretty sure these are discontinued and you might be able to get a similar deal. Similar Products Used: many different speakers(Bose,Infinity) |

Strength:
bass, price
Weakness:
hi frequency I got this at Montgomery Ward for $160/pair plus tax. For the price, nothing can beat it. I connected to the Sony STR DE935. Overall, great bass, warm tone, plenty of power even for a large room. You might want to increase the treble and midrange to balance the bass. |

Strength:
96db model (plays very loud)
Weakness:
bass response is not very strong, loud, or powerful. the jbl d315 speakers deliver loud sound with just about any amplifier over 10 watts, thanks to a 96db efficiency rating. although they look like they would deliver very powerful bass, they are not bass reflex speakers. they are acoustic suspension: which means they have quick-responding, tight bass response. if you listen to rap music, or heavy metal, these are definetley not your type of speaker. excellent price for the product though. |

price, bass, and overall good set of speakers
Weakness:
no really weaknesses to this product I bought this product for alittle over 200 dollars and it really blew me away!!!!! the infinity's I got have the same dimensions and still dont have the bass this has.The fidelity is as good as my Infinity's but since they cost more than my jbl's i have to favor my jbl speakers Similar Products Used: infinity reference series |
