Strength:

It sounds like a speaker should. It is high quality.

Weakness:

There are no weaknesses.

I hooked these speakers up two months ago and I had some great fun. It was a great day, great day! They sounded terrific. I was having great fun. It was a great day, great day! I have a Sony reciever. It is a great reciever. I had great fun with that too. I played my Garth Brooks on them and I blew my right ear drum. I was like "crud vapors"! I was mad. Oh well, These are great speakers.

Strength:

clarity and no distortion

Weakness:

none so far

This is my first attempt at building a home theater system
so I am no expert but I listened to alot of other speakers (bose,KLH,B&W,polk) and I thought these really rocked for
the amount of money I was willing to spend however I think
that I will probably need to add an amplifier to get enough power to really make the most of there ablities. Any suggestions on what would be a good amp would be helpful.

My system:

Toshiba 61H60 HDTV
Tohiba 2150 Dual Disc DVD
Onkyo Tx-575x AV receiver
JBL N-center
JBL ND310 pair front
JBL N-28 pair surround
JBL PB-10 sub

Strength:

Takes lots of power, plenty of bass, strong mid and high, dual 10-inch woofers

Weakness:

Pretty heavy: 55 lbs each

I picked up these speakers for $150 each at hifi.com. I can't believe how great a deal they were. They take everything my Yamaha HTR-5240 receiver can throw at them. I can't wait to get them into my HT. For music, the bass is deep and shakes the walls. I really don't need a sub with them. Use them with a lot of power, because they can take it. A great speaker.

Strength:

Clean, crisp sound. Awesome appearance. Worth every penny spent on them.

Weakness:

Kind of heavy.

Whoa. What a bang for your buck. I recently upgraded my speakers this past summer and the N310s caught my eye. High Tech and FAT lookin. Heard them at Best Buy and I was sold.
Hauled them home and hooked them up to my home theatresound system and I was blown away. Still cant find my left ear drum. Highly recommend these speakers. Highs are highs, mids are mids, bass is clear and tight. Brings out the best sound in any type of music be it Jazz, Reggae, metal, Latino, Classical. You won't be disappointed with these gems.

Strength:

Strong Deep Bass responce when given it. Accurate highs and mids make it a good music and still a good movie speaker.

Weakness:

Well you can't keep a constant 125watts of full range music on them for around 8 hours or you will melt the tweeter down.

All I have to say is yes, yes these are a great buy not for the true audiophile if that is what you are you can go get the $20,000 B&W's to perfect your system. If you like music and movies these are great speakers. One problem is they have to be far from each other and in a large room before you can appriciate them. Due to there size hearing the depths of bass in a small room is almost impossable. You will need a subwoofer (a small one with a lot of power) to hear that all mighty 23Hz signal that shakes your house. You can still hear it but you just might have to be in a different room. Good one to piss the parents off, you can't hear it but they sure can.

Strength:

Value for the price.

Weakness:

Only available in black ash.

I had never puchased loudspeakers before, so the thought of paying close to $500 was daunting. However, it was the best half-grand I have ever spent. My wife has even begun to tolerate Queensryche at semi-loud levels.

I love these floor(front) speakers. They rock my house. They are well worth the $550 I spent at earthstations.com. When they got to my house I couldn't believe how big they were but I was even more impressed when I hooked them up. They were clear and filled my room with beautiful sound. Movies are excellent and I can crank up any hard hitting rock or even the real low bass of rap. Recommend these speakers. Great price for a very high quality speaker!!

Strength:

Loud, Clear, Cheap (under $300 shipped for a pair on Ubid),
Good looking.

Weakness:

Heavy, Large, to sound really good they need a powerfull amp.

Sound great with my onkyo 100 watt/channel (RMS) reciever.
Didn't sound so good with my old 45 watt/channel onkyo or a friends 100 watt/channel Technics. Buy them if you have the room in your house, and don't mind carrying speakers that weigh over fifty pounds.
