Poor bass response for a 15" subwoofer. I've seen a lot of the negative reviews on these speakers and I would have given one myself, but I think I may have found a solution. Out of the box these things had about the punch of an 8" speaker (if that) and for some reason my Kenwood amp couldn't do much to get any better tone out of them. I decided I was going to seal up the ports the other day and took my first real look inside the box. I just about fell over when I saw it... Who in their right mind wires a speaker, supposedly capable of 300 Watts, with such ridiculously small wire?!?! I LOOKED, it's 24 gauge wire!! RUNNING to a 15" speaker!! All four components are wired with that small wire! My suggestion -get wire at least as large as you're running from your amp and wire the internals of the speaker with it. If you've got the time, money and knowledge, rip those cheesy crossovers out and put decent ones in. THEN seal off the ports. That should at least help. Beyond that, you're going to need a better speaker. Similar Products Used: JBL 12's |

Strength:
Good bass, good sound quality.
Weakness:
none I have been listening to my klh's for like six months now and I am very happy with them. Don't listen to the fudge packers who give these speakers a bad review. I think KLH speakers are one of the most high quality speakers with one of the lowest prices. Similar Products Used: JBL, Infinity |
