Strength:
Gorgeous satisfying sound, bright and clear.
Weakness:
Soundstaging not great, but only adequate. These speakers are an absolute pleasure to listen to. The soundstage and imaging may not be up to the standard of my Boston Acoustics A-200's, but the thing about these speakers is TONE!!! Absolutely gorgeous, with crisp and clear highs (not shrill at all), detailed mid-range and tight full bass. The general impression is one of clarity and warmth, and may i say "human-ness", and a lack of any kind of clinical sound. I am extremely happy with these, and have thus ended my quest for a satisfying speaker. Thanks Klipsch! Similar Products Used: Heybrook HB2; Boston Acoustic A-200 |

Strength:
Price, build quality, appearance, clarity of mid-range frequency reproduction, balance when played moderately loud.
Weakness:
Weird frequency balance and poor bass response at low volume Impressive clarity, balance and even base response at high listening volumes, especially considering the fairly small size of enclosure. At lower sound levels, though, male voices sound chesty and certain mid-base notes are boomy, as is often the case with ported systems. I was able to minimize some of that effect by lightly stuffing the ports with polyester fiberfill. There is virtually no deep base at low listening levels. A very nicely finished product, though. Good quality construction, attractive and heavy for their size. I think these speakers are probably ideal for playing moderately loud in medium sized rooms. Sound good with jazz, acoustic guitar, piano and other not so complex musical arrangements. The sound gets a little muddledon loud passages when multiple instruments and voices are reproduced all at once. There is only so much a small box can do Similar Products Used: Other (and like myself, older) bookshelf units, such as Dynaco A25, Smaller Advent, KEF C35, Ohm "E" |

Strength:
Looks,high sensitivity,tight midbass
Weakness:
No soundstage, weak midrange, muddy if any bass,,must be in corner for ANY BASS After testing the Klipsch kg 2.5 against my B&W 601 and my Mission 700''s all in the same room they came in last place. They had the worst sound quality, soundstage. I found a home for them as my my center flanked by a pair of chourus II and they mate well.I gave one kg 2.5 to my brother who has a pair of Cornwalls and he is happy also. Strength:
Powerful bass; power handling; high sensitivity
Weakness:
No longer in production Owned for close to 7 years and have never had a problem. Crystal clear, lifelike mids and highs; very powerful bass for a speaker of this size. Handles more power than you can stand to listen to, due to the high sensitivity. All of my friends can''t believe the amount of sound these little guys throw - They''re used to looking at huge, hulking towers. I''ve just purchased klipsch SC-1; SS-1; KSW-12 based on my fantastic experience with the KG 2.5''s to round out the home theater. Similar Products Used: Bose; Polk; Infinity; Cerwin Vega |

Strength:
Inviting, warm sound that still retains it''s intensity and punch.
Weakness:
Not one. I have had these speakers for over 7 years and I can say they have never failed me. I origanally used them as just stereo setup and have since added dolby dig. and full speakers. The horn tweaker makes everything sound fuller, warmer, and more complex. However, it does not anything away from the intensity you think it would. When I bought these speakers I was planning to spend a lot more but any beat out anything twice the price. And after 7 years later not one ounce of quality has been lost. I got these with a big scratch on top and that is why they were so cheap. It is just a cosmetic flaw. Strength:
Good tonal balance, excellent power handling
Weakness:
For the price, none. Was looking to finally upgrade my older Fisher speakers, but had limited space and needed a wall mount installation. Reviews of this model were good enough to prompt a purchase unheard, especially at the price I got them for new on ebay. Similar Products Used: Fisher |

Strength:
Everything! Imaging, bass response, power handling, sheer dynamics for their size, detail retrieval, etc.
Weakness:
Only weakness is that they sound even better on big amps than they do on small units. These speakers never cease to amaze! I purchased them used in 1999 from a cash converters for $200 canadian (original msrp $799 new). I never expected to get this caliber of sound from speakers this small, and 2+ years old too! I have them hooked up to a 1978 Marantz 2252 stereo receiver with 16 gauge monster cables being sourced by a Toshiba SD 2109 DVD player with monster cable interconnect 250 cables. I find that these speakers sound good with almost anything I throw at them: Diana Krall, Spyro Gyra, Rage against the machine, Edwin, Eagles hell freezes over, and many DVD's too like Gone in 60 Seconds, The Green Mile and the Matrix. The only artist that sounds misrable on them is Sting (I don't know why this is). The amount of clarity and smoothness you get from a is unheard of from horn tweeters. Voices are smooth, defined, and emotional. Drums, strings, horns, bass, all of them presented with absolute clarity and with a robust sound not expected from such small cabinets. They even do all of this being driven by only 52 watts RMS from my receiver. Putting them on a straight stereo power amp makes them get up and dance even more, with the extension and force of the bass leaving you in disbelief. You get it all! These speakers rock so much I wish I had bought them new back in 1997! I am seriously considering a full klipsch ensemble when I get a new home theatre rig, simply because they go loud and proud while maintaining finesse at low volumes too. These are simply unfaultable speakers! Similar Products Used: B&W 602 S2, Mission 702 and 703 |

Strength:
High Quality design and manufacture. Full sound for the size.
Weakness:
Looses bass at higher volume. I got what I paid for. A well built and tuned speaker that handles movies and music very well. This may not be fair because the speakers are in a very small room with a powerful amp and usually playing a CD or DVD. One note, on the rare occasion that I get to blast them, they stay clear but loose some bass when up high. Its easy for me to talk myself into buying stereo equipment, but I'll keep these until they pop. Similar Products Used: Bose 201 Boston Acoustics Subsat6 |

Strength:
Natural mids & mid/highs. Very smooth sound on all types of music. Trmendous bass for a speaker of its size
Weakness:
Lacks some of the higher frequencies of some of its competition Out of all the speakers I've had this speaker is probably the most well rounded and best sounding speakers for home theater. I've purchased several different speakers to compare because in the store I had doubts about my 2.5's, but side by side the 2.5's won every time.
