The KLFC-7-center channel is a fine tool ! A no compromise , bang for the buck , never look back , home theater tool ! I shopped for and purchased and returned more than a few centers before finding the C-7 13years ago . Even though it was competing for first chair with a pair of vintage LaScalas used as my mains , I fell hard for its effortless ability to not only keep up with but compliment the impact and speed of the rest of the system !( all vintage klipsch , all hanging from the ceiling , 10 ft. Auto drop screen and two SW-12's floored under each main.)the C-7 has stood the test of time . Looks and sounds as good today as it did the day I bought (the good guys. -600.00 bucks ) and brought it home all those years ago ! That was also the day I stopped shopping for a center channel . I always wished I had a need for a second one but my beautiful wife wouldn't give up her sewing room .she said one theater is enough for any one man . HA I. SAY. !

Strength:
Everything
Weakness:
Nothing, except it may outlive me. Nothing close or better in this price range, or for many many bucks more. Too bad they don't make it any more. I have two...one each for the front and rear center channels. There are some high end Centers that cost two to four times more, but unless you are of the canine persuasion, the human auditory system has it's limits, and the C7 exceeds that range in quality, clarity, performance, and sound. Use with a really good amp and wiring. Stuff I have... 4 Altec Lansing 510 S tri-amped towers for music (use 2 front 510's for DVD Movies) Klipsch C7 for front and rear Centers 4 Cambridge Soundworks S300 MultiPole for rear and side surround. A/R 15" powered subs Crown power amps Sonic Euphoria preamp FanFare Tuner etc.... Similar Products Used: B & W Boston Acoustics & udders |

Strength:
perfect sound, the horn is ideal for dialog, power handling capacity, 400 + watts peak if memory serves me correctly
Weakness:
unfortunately, not made anymore, the Reference series is close Outstanding sound, matches my klf-30's perfectly. A center channel speaker that could easily blow away most main speakers Very large and heavy, not for setting on top of most TV's. Similar Products Used: jbl, yamaha, |

Strength:
Superb clarity and performance at very reasonable price (I recommend ubid)
Weakness:
Weight, but you can't get this sound out of a little toy speaker Previous reviews have covered the tremendous performance of this speaker. It is hands down the best center channel I've ever heard and I recently bought 2 more from ubid to use as surrounds in my 5.1 along with my KLF-20s. Hurry up UPS, I can't wait! Strength:
Vocal are great, one of the few centers with great bass output. Size matters here.
Weakness:
Might be one but I am too biased to see it. I have had this speaker for several years now. Very close match for my Klipsch Fortes. I had a smaller Klipsch before but just does not compare. Once I went to Dolby Digital I knew my investment was smart. Vocals, whether in movies or music just sound great and life like. Cannot say enough about this speaker. Wow your friends with its size. Unless your mains are mediocre must spend the money on the center. Similar Products Used: Klipsch Fortes |

Strength:
Incredible Sensitivity,Build Quality,Clear and faithful reproduction of source sound.(when I had 2 I set them up as a stereo pair, during Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega (a great vocal test track)you could HEAR her tounge on the roof of her mouth & teeth and her lips move!)It's really fu%@ing good, it is so clear during movies it actually takes some getting used to - It can freak you out a little bit.
Weakness:
It's not for the HTIB or "Lifestyle" folks who don't want te be able to see speakers, I don't consider this a weakness, as those people should be ridiculed in my opinion. The only real problem with the KLF-C7 is that it's no longer made and is very hard to find. This is the finest center chanel speaker ever made! I did have two of these at one point, as front and back of a 6.1 set up. I traded one in to go with the THX recomended 2 rear speakers,Kilpsch SB-2's-which are great, but not in the same league... it seems clear to me now that what I should have done was find a third and use two for rears. Strength:
Excellent clarity, effortless sound
Weakness:
Big and Heavy, must take into consideration where you are going to put it. This is a great center speaker. I thought I was getting really good sound using a Klipsch KG2 as my center, but then I tried this KLF-C7 and was blown away. I bought it on the recommendation from the Klipsch website that it would be the best match to the Klipsch HeresyII's I was using as my front left and right. Also hearing that they were going to discontinue this speaker due to slow sales, I decided that I better get one. Well, no dissapointment here. Excellent tonal balance and great match to the HeresyII's. The front sound stage is perfectly smooth, voices are accurate, and output is fantastic with just the 80watts I'm putting to it from my HK PA5800 amp. Highly reccommend it. At first I thought it was a little pricey at full retail MSRP $699, but if you can find it at a discount, (J&R music world) it's well worth it. Strength:
Very Big sound for a center channel! Distinct movie sounds and very clear when playing a DVD. The speaker is heavy and bulky but like a muscle car demonstrates why it is the physical beast that it is.
Weakness:
I guess that it is so heavy, but that is the great thing too. Klipsch is much more superior to any other speaker that I have heard including: Polk, Bose, Infinity, Boston Acoustics and more... Similar Products Used: Klipsch klf30, ksw15 & KSP-S6 rears!!! |
