Strength:
Small, great bass for its size, clear, matches well with the
Weakness:
If anything, its is almost too clear. Reveals slightest imperfections in the source. Poor for music. Sensitive to placement. I bought these about three months ago when I started building my home theater (one piece at a time). I liked how they sounded in the showroom and their size. At first I began using them as my main speakers. My rears where old KLH towers (again space constraints). I also had a klipsch KSB-C1 center chanel. I got to tell you these Klipsches do not sound like any other small speaker. They have good bass extension and crystal clear treble (not boxy at all). I though midrange was weak, but my positioning was not optimal. This weakness only showed in music playback. They did seem to be bright and forward at first, but after about 2 weeks of break in, they became very smooth. I don't leave my room because it sounds SSOOOOO Good. This will be my main point: Similar Products Used: Paradigm mini-moniters, NHT superzeros, Def Tech Bi-polar, Paradigm Studio 20's, and a few more. |

I've been running four of these little puppies, and what can I say except for they are awesome. My wife was looking for me to bring home something small with excellent sound and I did. I highly recommend the KSB 1.1 for anyone's home theater system. I have the Klipsch Sub and Center speaker to match the system and I now have a truly most excellent setup. I have a Yamaha 795 driving them now but I am trading it out for the 995, I want to have the S-video hookup for my future DVD player. |

Sound Quality, Cost I purchased these from ubid.com for $52 each. What a deal! My local Klipsch dealer was willing to deal with me since the 1.1 has been discontinued and replaced with the KSB 1. He had both and the only real difference was the cabinet material and the tweeter had changed very little. The difference in sound was almost unnoticable. Although the KSB 1 did sound a littly muddy. His "great sale price" on the discontinued 1.1's was $200/pair. What's worse, they were the floor models. What a deal. I didn't have the heart to tell him I bought them online for half that "sale" price. Seriously, never buy anything from Bjorns in San Antonio, Tx. It does make a great place to go audition what your looking to buy much cheaper on the net. |

Strength:
Clear, crisp sound, very low noise, good bass reflex and able to maintain highs. Easily hidden (not a fashion statement). Price and performance
Weakness:
Some loss if used as rear channel surrounds due to narrow directional sound I bought 4 for much the same price as others paid for 2. Price was definately a plus, sound clarity made me appreciate the value even more. UBid is an excellent site to purchase these type of products, but get royaly shafted on the shipping and handling charges (sorry off the subject). I used decent cables, receiver and peripherals and would highly recommend these little guys to all (except the ridiculous who expect the world for chump change, "Blue______!". Strength:
-Clarity
Weakness:
-a bit bright Bought these from ubid for ~$130 for the pair including shipping. They sound great, but must be used w/ a sub in music setup as they just don't have the size to bring the bass. That said, they are very crisp and clear and a great value if you pick them up off of ubid or something like that. |

Strength:
Uncolored, spatial sound
Weakness:
a little bright, highs a little harsh Nice speaker for 40 dollars a piece. Rave reviews below do it a little more justice than it deserves. Very good imaging, nice midrange, bass lacking a little when compared to B&W 302s. Very upfront soundstage. Would recommend as surround speakers, contrary to review below. B&W's worth the extra $150. But, if you are on a budget, better than anything offered at costco for $150 a pair. No serious faults. Similar Products Used: B&W 302 |

Strength:
Good highs and mids.
Weakness:
Weak on the bass. Very good sound from such small speakers. The highs and mids are excellent. They are very crisp....almost a little too crisp. It all depends on your taste. The bass is a little lacking, but that must be expected from such small speakers. If you want to use these as your front speakers in a surround sound system, then you need a good sub. Otherwise, I would use them as the rear speakers. |
