I purchased these speakers about a month ago after listening to a number of speakers in this price range. I use these speakers as part of a home theater system, but use them more for listening to music. After several auditions comparing them to other speakers at the store, I decided to purchase the KSF 10.5s. Mind you, these speakers sounded dramatically different from any other speaker I listened to (Energy, BA, Mission, Polk, etc..). These speakers are sweet. When listening to jazz and classical specifically, it's like sitting in the 10th row center. The highs are crystal and the lows are live. High hats and crashes are so clean it's scarry! These speakers are not heavy on warmth so you may love them or hate them. They have definately separated my CDs. Low quality recordings are obvious and superior quality recordings are a unique listening experience.

It was time to retire my Infinity Sterling Bookshelf speakers. I wanted to jump into the home theater craze with a Dolby Digital system. I looked around for a variety of speakers including Polk, Boston Acoustics, and Klipsch. After auditioning them at a local store, I concluded that they were very good. Also, I found them for $464/pair at http://www.shop4.com. I jumped at it. Now, I am a proud owner of KSF 10.5, KSF-C5 (center), and KSF-S5 (surround). I drive these with my new Denon AVR2700 ($525 at Uncle's Stereo). They match very well. They sound stage is way way better then my previous system. I can close my eyes and just picture the location of the various instruments. I listen to a lot of classical and these are pretty good for them too.

AS A RECENT PURCHASER OF THE KLIPSCH SPEAKER SYSTEM, I MUST APPLAUDE THE MANUFACTURES FOR THE SPLENDED JOB. IT TOOK A YEAR OF REASEARCH AND LISTENING TO COME TO A CONCLUSION TO BUY THESE SPEAKERS. HOOKED UP TO A YAMAHA 2095 I FIND IT A TOTAL LISTENING EXPERIENCE. TALK CLARITY AND DEFINITION THESE BABIES DO THE TRICK. WHEN LISTENING TO SCEENS WITH MACHINE GUNS YOU START LOOKING FOR BRASS ON THE FLOOR AND HELICOPTERS FLYING OVER? DUCK!

When I first tried these speakers the movies I played sounded excellent but the when I tried music it didn't sound all that great. However, after putting my Denon receiver on 5 ch. Stero mode and hooking a sub, the music I played sounded awesome. These speakers are extremely crisp and clear. If you have a Denon Receiver I highly recommend these speakers. This is the best set of front speakers I've ever heard.

After a long, exhaustive search, I bought a pair of KSF 10.5's. I plugged them next to my old Yamaha 3-way 12 inch speakers so that I had a 4 speaker stereo setup. Simple said, there is no comparison- even of the bass. Great for all types of music. I will say that the horn tweeter produces a unique sound, that is much brighter than I was used to, but have quickly grown to love. Beats the crap out of anything for the price, especially if teamed up with the matching center channel. I give it a 5, easy.

I bought the Klipsch 10.5's about a week ago from a local audio/video store (rather than mail order something that large and heavy), and have been enjoying them ever since! They're connected to a Kenwood Dolby Digital receiver (temporarily!) by a pair of AudioQuest Type 6 speaker cable, and they sound great. They produce more bass in my listening area than I expected (which is nice since I HAD planned to buy a subwoofer!). They have a very "live" sound to them, which I personally like, and as always, there's no accounting for personal taste. I definitely recommend these speakers for use in just about any home theatre setup!

I was looking for a new receiver at the time, I had my back to the speakers and just turning the knobs at the local stereo shop when I clicked on these speakers that just sounded great. They really stood out from the rest of the speakers in it's price range. I would have to had spend nearly twice the money for nearly the same performance, or marginally better. So I took them and a new Yamaha 795 receiver/amp home.
They are great. I really love them. Some people think they are too bright, but I consider them crisp, clear, and with lots of detail. There is ample bass, not too much, but plenty of it.

For the price range, check 'em out.

I bought the 10.5's from Uncle's Stereo in New York along with my receiver and other speakers. The prices are low and the sales people are friendly and helpful. Andrew Kent is very knowledgeable; I recommend asking for him. The speakers are powerful, yet they still have a crisp, clean sound. I am using them with a Yamaha receiver. Great speakers!

I almost gave up in my quest for Musical Truth after auditioning Paradigm speakers and not being satisfied. I thought that bookshelf speakers from Polk was the closest I would ever get to accurate reproduction and at $950.00 a very expensive solution. On my way to purchase the Polks I got lost and I walked into a Klipsch dealer and asked for help. The older man of much wisdom chastised me in front of other customers for even thinking about buying Polks. Feeling angry I challenged him concerning HIS Klipsch speakers which I told him I had NO intention of purchasing. Everyone left and it was him against me and my love for the Polks. For the next 21/2 hours we went through 6 Klipsch models, 4 DVD's, 8 c.d.'s and in the end I could not believe how the KLIPSCH KSF-10.5 reproduced music so accurate that I felt stupid! When you listen to these speakers everything sounds so real ESPECIALLY voices. Tall, and beautiful in Cherry my wife gave them 5 stars. He sold me the KSF 10.5's and the KS CC1 for a total of $720.00. A huge realistic soundstage with lifelike vocal reproduction and tight bass (no boom) and $200.00 less than Polks. I have one thing to say to the KSF-S5 surround sound speakers: "Ready or not here I come!"

This could be rather long, but hopefully complete and helpful to others. My wife and I auditioned the KSF 10.5 in two ways: by themselves for audio and with the KSC C-5 and KSF S-5 for video. I took along 4 CDs that I know well and listened to the following tracks 1) Notes/Prima Dona from "Phantom of the Opera". Great separation of the voices and the voice of the Phantom on this track seemed to come from everywhere in the room. 2) "This Must be Love" from Phil Collins "Face Value". The separation and clarity of the percussion was spectacular. 3) "IGY" from Donald Fagen's "Nightfly". You had to be there to appreciate it. My wife, who went along somewhat grudgingly said "Wow". 4) "Meeting on the Other Side" from "Born to Run". I wanted to hear the trumpet in the background. Unbelievable.
I have heard other people talk about the "brightness" of Klipsch speakers. My only source of comparison is the set of Boston Accoustics A40's that I currently own. They are supposed to have "flat" or "neutral" sound production. The 10.5s blow them away. My overall impression of these speakers is incredible sound reproduction with great separation and a fantastic sound stage. I haven't heard anything in this price range (I paid $565 for the pair on Summer Sale) that even comes close.

Video. We watched James Taylor Live from the Beacon Theater and some cuts from Crimson Tide with the whole speaker ensemble hooked up. Aside from what I perceived as lip synch problems on both (Denon DVD and receiver used at the store), the surround experience was great. Obviously 5 stars.
