Strength:

Flat full range response. Highs clear and not harsh. Excellent bass, nice midrange.

Weakness:

None, given the price

Was really wanting to demo Deftech, but no local dealer anymore. Listened on numerous occassions to B&W's, Boston Accoustics, Polk, Infinity, NHT. Always looking for the best bang for the buck. I think this might be it. I bought these for my den, where kids and adults alike listen to anything from tapes, cd's, vhs, television--not for my home theater. Amazing clarity. Clean sound throughout the frequency range. Good sound stage, though not up to the B&W's. B&W had a little better imaging, but lacked in clarity. Some have mentioned weak bass response. At louder levels some tracks exude almost too much bass. I never thought that the equalizer on my 14 year old 100 watt/channel Kenwood would come in handy---after constant tweaking, I've found that setting everything flat is the best way to go. Excellent speakers, excellent price. Value is the key here, but not at the expense of performance.
