I listened to these last week, along with 751f`s and NHT super1`s.this is a real hi-fi speaker, producing a pleasant and laid-back sound,
very suitable for classical.
despite their small size, bass is fair and imaging extremely wide - far wider than 751f`s.

I bought these speakers used from someone over the internet. I must say that these are very outstanding speakers for a bookshelf size! I've heard NHT superones, NHT supertwo, B&W 602's and 603's, infinity RS series and some other speakers under the $500 price range. I have to say that the Mission 750LE sounded much better than any of those speakers. The bass is fair but I got a Cerwin Vega 10" powered sub, so it doesn't matter anyway. It makes a great combo! I understand that there's only 7000 pairs of these speakers in the world. If you have a chance to get a hold of these, grab it!

First of all these speakers sound fantastic. I've hooked them up to my NAD 317 amp and I'm squeezing everything possible out of these gorgeous little speakers. The best best way to position them in my opinion is on stands, well away from walls and parallel to the back wall. The treble is smooth and sparkling and the midrange is very natural and precise. The bass is detailed, but you can't deny the lack of the lowest frequencies (<60 Hz),which I think are the foundation of every kind of music. I've solved this problem by adding a BNS active subwoofer which reaches down to 30 Hz, and it's just perfect!!These speakers won't perform their magic on a $200 Sony amp, but with a decent amp (I prefer Rotel and Nad, and the basic models will do the job quite well)you can't go wrong.
I'm very tempted to give five stars, but the (inevitable) lack off bass forces me to give only four...

I now have a pair of these Limited Edition mini-monitors next to my Energy C-8's. You just wont beleave these little speakers, so clear, perfect imaging, crafted together, not slapped together, a lot of reserch went into the 750le speakers. The sound is amazing for a smaller room, or combine with a sub for a large room. I think they sound better than the 774's, producing better bass and high frequency, at an excellent price. If anyone would like a Contact #, for a Canadain shipper for energy or mission, just email me, shipping anywhere, and taken advantagae of the high american exchange rate, means great pricing!

Strength:

image(position), high and mid

Weakness:

bass

I got this speakers from my friend because he want to upgrate to Sonus Fabre.

I am not the expert of listening and I just want to say what I feeling. The most attractive point is the image. I can feel the moving of the lip of the girl singer when I close my eyes. Of course, the bass is not deep enough. I think it is the common weekness of bookshelf speakers.

For overall performance, I give 4 stars because of lack of bass. But for bookshelf speakers, I give 5 stars.

Strength:

Very clear and crisp sound, they sound a lot bigger than they are.

Weakness:

Bass depth is somewhat dissappointing.

When I bought these bookshelf speakers I was able to compare them with the bigger models from Mission, as well as several other high-end speakers.
I was immediately grabbed with their great sound, and that coming from such a small speaker! The overall sound picture is very clear and transparent. It totally lacks pronounced mid tone ranges, often found in speakers of about the same size.
The only slight disadvantage is the bass range, which does not go as deep as I would want, but I cannot blame the manufacturer for that. It goes with the size.
I am also convinced that they will sound a lot better when put against a wall, as explained in the manual.
All in all I am very pleased with the set. They're well worth the money!

These are quite simply the best two-way book shelf speakers I have ever heard. The sound is very liquid, very warm. None of the brightness usually associated with small speakers. Paired with a good sub, they make fine main speakers in a modestly sized room. They are airy, surprisingly dynamic and quite lovely to look at. This is a purchase you wont regret. I can't think of a better speaker across a wide range of applications at this price point (500/pr).
The rig in question consists of : Music Reference Rm-10 Tube amp with RAM lab tubes, The mission 750LEs, a Music Fidelity x-pre preamp, a Music Hall Turntable, (Music Fidelity x-lp phono stage) Jolida CD player (single disc) Harman Kardon Fl8550 (Changer)

I have the 750 LE coupled to a Mission active sub and the sound is amazing.
The mid and high are very lovely (at normal volume) and the bass of this combination is just awesome.

Furthermore the finish of the loudspeakers is really very fine and definitely beter than on most loudspeaker costing up to twice as much.

Also the interior design is well thougt out and quality parts are used for the crossover.

All in all a very good sounding combination for an amazing price

I first heard these at a friends house being driven by a Sony playstation as CD source and Harmon Kardon AV receiver and was amazed at how well they sounded with such a meager setup, so I said to myself "I've got to have some of these"I have been using a Teac Reference 500 mini-system for my office space w/ Kimber Pbj Interconnects and Wireworld Atlantis biwire to Sony ESS M3 monitors and was happy with that, but since I've substituted the Missions for the Sonys I knew I made a great choice. They have wonderful imaging and suprisingly good bass (my office space is a rather small 10x10 loft). My friend has his in a fairly large room and subsequently bass response suffers. They do a fantastic job recreating acoustic guitar and piano and female vocals are delicious. The only complaint I have for them is that they don't do very well with siblants, BUT, that is getting better the longer that they break in (the owners manual says only 10 hours, but I had them playing pink noise w/ one speaker out of phase and facing the other one for more than 48 hours and that was only the beginning of their breaking in. In some ways I prefer the way these sound compared to my reference system of Classe' Audio CA-400 amp to Thiel CS 3.6's and that is saying a lot since I absolutly just love my Thiels.
