Strength:

Carooning Top End, Beautiful miderange, for acoustics, 3D Spatial Grand is absolutely phenomenal, no Cheap imitation, made in Canada, Surround Sound, with out the Surround Sound? Tre Cool.
Subs are strong.
Ten Year Unconditional Warranty.(Parts & Labor)

Weakness:

Weak Tweeters.
Boxes are bulky (92LBS)
Tops come off, and pins for the tops break too easily.
Cheap fabric(For the speaker Cover), tears easily.

Probably the best speaker on the Canadian Market, and beats out any name brand you can find. ie. Klipsh, Cerwin Vega, Harmon Kardin, Pioneer, Kenwood.
I have been a professional Disc Jockey for nine years. I am one of the original surround sound Disc Jockeys in Canada, and use 4 Nuance 3DS-G's for the road. I finish the ensemble with a Nuance 3DS-Center, and a 15" 500 Watt Nuance Powered sub-woofer.
Nuance is probably the best, and strongest speaker I have ever, and will ever come across.
The company owner spent 12 million dollars reseaching the human ear to develop a sound from 2 speakers that make it sound like what you hear is really happening.(Best Description)
The actual demo does NO justice what-so-ever. The best way to listen to these speakers, is in your home, or in my case, on the road. Not a day goes by that I regret purchasing these speakers, and they are well worth the money I paid for them.(About 5500.00 for all 4, retail, 8000.00)

Strength:

The stengths of these speakers are their incredible subs, awsome tweets and great mid's

Weakness:

They are so heavy it takes two grown men on steroids to move them, I consider it a theft deterrent

These are by far the best speakers money can buy.I did a lot of researching and testing and nothing even came close.
In a sound room, the pressure from these baby's will knock down ceiling tile. They are powered by 500 watts/ each of pure ear numbing clarity.Any other speaker system that I have listened to dull in comparisson.
I listened to Bose, actually 3 sets of them at the same time and they could not compare with the sound or quality of the baby grands.
The only problem with them is you have to have good neighbors because you can hear the bass from 200 ft. easily.

if you want premium sound at a good price, NUANCE is the way to go no questions asked

Decent all around other than bass

I honestly don't know much about the speaker other than what I hear every day and I think they sound good. I know I paid way too much and the demo they give is complete bullsh_t. Listen to them yourself with your own cd's and then decide. I have heard only bad things but I have nothing bad to say other than they lack bass.

Weakness:

bad rap they get from this site and other stores

I went out to shop for a stereo recently, checking out all the usual stores(Futureshop,Visions, etc.),seeing lots of good stuff.Went into Krazy Krazy and was invited in for a demonstration of "some really cool stuff".Sat through this demo and I have to say I was properly BLOWN AWAY!But not being one to impulse buy,I continued on my way.The next night I checked out this site and was stunned at how emphatic opinions are regarding this stuff. The following weekend, armed with all my newfound knowledge I went to go buy a system.I was amazed at how "the other guys " just trashed Nuance, one of them even going so far as to show me this web site,(focusing of course on all the bad stuff). In fact, the only guy who didn't say one bad thing about the competition was the Nuance"rep".(This is important to me as I sell cars and the worst thing you can do is call down your competition as it suggests that your own product can not stand on its own.)What I found was a sound that was definitely different from everything else and I think really needs to be heard to appreciate. And once you get past the sales pitch and down to the nitty gritty the price was a little more than most of the other comparable systems I checked out with far greater value(10 yr warranty, upgrade program, etc.)In short I bought it and I LOVE IT!!!I would gladly recommend this stuff to any of my friends and expect to see quite a few of them with a Nuance system soon as any one who has seen mine thinks it is awesome. P.S.I think that you guys should lighten up on the sales reps. While I can't say I agree with everything in their pitch,(some of the pricing turned me off a bit)I found the presentation to be interesting, imaginitive and a lot of fun.It was good enough to get my wife interested in owning a kickass system. So everybody lighten up and enjoy life.

Strength:

Build quality, dynamics, sound

Weakness:

none that I have found

For all of the people who would put this speaker down for it's build quality should put it up against any speaker in the same price category and see what you get. The sound is great. Let me assure you that I have put them up against a lot of other contenders and they always shine. My whole system is Nuance! Perception of any sound is an individual taste preference. A person who likes deep and loud thumping bass constantly would almost certainly pick a Cerwin-Vega. For true all around performance in the entire frequency spectrum you can't beat the Nuance line for the money. By the way, the best sounding speaker line they make, in my opinion, is the Spatial series. For a true test of speakers line five of them up in a room and play something demanding, such as..
Dave Matthews-Rapunzel..listen for the top hat cymbals
Eric Clapton -Unplugged..listen for the finger slides
The 1812 Overture..the great movements in dynamics
Most recordings by Al Jarreau..vocal dynamics

Never ever judge a speaker by one aspect...the only fair comparison that way would be between subwoofers. Do yourself a favor never mind what someone else likes...you're buying the speakers, or any product for that matter, what do you like?

Strength:

too many to list
solid construction, strong bass, excellent highs
prices negotiable

Weakness:

let me think

originally i had planned to buy bose 301 but after i heard nuance i was shocked!!! and when i was told about the 10 year warranty and upgrade policy i could not resist. i purchased a pair of advantage 2s' upgraded to star satts and then spacial grand 3cl's.

upgrade policy allows people with any budget to eventually have a great sound system.

to anyone who bashes the speakers saying that they were built cheaply, who cares how much it costs to build them. just trust your ears.

definitley hook these speakers up to a decent reciever with bass and treble control knobs.

speakers are heavy as hell.

speakers are insulated with a carpet underpadding type material

make sure you get a decent reciever from companies like technics or harman kardon, onkyo, yamaha etc

rubber material is used on the rims of the driver(s) for good flexibility and strong bass.

make sure you are not in a semi, townhouse, apartment.
my neighbours complain alot

Nothing

I find it a little funny how you get these ding dongs on here that spend a half hour running down a speaker that they just bought. Heck if it's that crappy a speaker your the idiot for buying it. Or is it that you just felt it was your duty to make a long list of don'ts about nuance to save all of us dumb idiots who don't know any better. Well let's cut to the chase, the real problem is nuance is kickin every speakers a** out there. They sell more nuance than all the rest put together. I think this is really whats causing all the bad reviews, gee could it be from certain dealers that are feeling the gouge from nuance. The guy who designed nuance also designed some of the nicest speakers out there like mirage m1's and energy. If your truly interested in a speaker go have a listen to them. If you like the way they sound buy them, if a guy tells you the next day he thinks they sound like sh** does that mean they do. No, so why read these reviews before you go listen to them yourselves. Don;t let some guy you don't know make up your mind for ya. Don't you wonder why people either really like or really hate nuance. Think about it. Oh by the way i have a set of nuance baby grands with the 2 built in 10 inch subs and the 500 watts a side, and oh man are they sweet. And if theres suddenly lots of bad reviews after mine, just remember dealers can get kind of slimy. Believe i know.

Strength:

Sounds Great, Highs and Mids are all I want, the Bass could have better imaging

Weakness:

Price, and the terribly high-pressure sales at International

Here's the truth:
Am I happy with my speakers? You bet.
Do I think I got a good deal: My ace still hurts.
I'm just a casual listener, and got sucked into buying these things by the salesman, but I ended really happy with them. I've had other stereo products, and from what I'm reading, people love 'em or hate 'em. I'm not familiar with other brands, but a lot of my friends have Nuance speakers, and no one has complaints.
One thing I will tell anyone interested, is stay away from International Stereo, mainly (in Edmonton) the one at Northtown Mall. Among the company, its called the "Shark Tank." I really felt pressured and RIPPED OFF there, but when I went to Kingsway mall and dealt with the manager of THAT Inernational Stereo, Kevin Stead, he was honest and made me feel happy with what I purchased.
Conclusion: They're great speakers, but I'll guarantee future buyers that they'll be better off with something else.

Strength:

bass, mids, highs. overall sound

Weakness:

a bit pricy

I just started to work at one of the stores that sell nuance speakers. To all the morons that say that the reps dont allow you to listen to your own cd's in the listening rooms, you are all full of sh*t. We encourage you to bring your own cd's to see what they sound like with the type of music you like listening to.

Everybody has their own preference on speakers, which is respectable. If you like them, buy them, if you don't, im happy for you. You also have to realize that your speakers are as good as your reciever is. Go and hook up a couple of those puppies to lets say a Harmon Kardon AVR300 or 500. Of course they won't sound good with a "piece of wood" amp

For all you that need specs on speakers, thats COW SH*T.
I don't believe that you can write down what they sound like on a piece of paper. Your specs on the speakers are your EARS. Who cares what the paper says, if they sound appealing to the human ear, then thats about all you need.

Some of you also say that there isnt enough bass coming out of the speakers. Well, thats why subwoofers were invented. Even the ones that have built in subwoofers still pound heavily.

Im not saying that nuance speakers are the best in the world. But they DO, however, stand high on the "speaker totem pole". Of course there will be better ones, ones that cost thousands of dollars above these ones, but i wouldn't really spend that much money.

Everybody has their own opinion on speakers. Im not trying to bash other speaker companies because I haven't had the privalage to hear too many other ones yet. If you do decide to listen to these speakers, rely on your EARS and not what is written down on the paper stating the power handling, and other specs. If they sound good, then specs are pointless.

Give em a try

Reviews from this pathetic site

So if thier a bad speaker, and are built badly and sound terrible. Then why are people buying them up like crazy? Are you saying it's because of the q sound demo. Give me a break. When i first bought a pair of nuance it was a pair of there 440 series, this was about ten years ago. At that demonstration we were encouraged to bring in our own cd's. When i later went to upgrade about 5 years later i did notice that they were using the q sound cd's. I was on the horn emmedietly to the designer and president. I asked him what was up with the q sound. He told me that thier demonstration was simply to show you what nuance can do for q-sound. Thier demo of the dancing indians is not in q sound but also shows what the speaker can do with very good recordings when the mic is placed in the center of the room. Nuance never said that other speakers couldnt do this they only said they do it better. So if the kid that sells you these speakers doesnt tell you it's a q sound cd then thats the salesman not the speaker. Give these guys a break ive never heard a salseman yet that didnt bull**** me about something i bought. And to all these tweek heads that need specs to make thier decision, lets hear what speakers you listen to and what makes them sound so much better or let me rephrase that, what is it about the specs you have that make your speaker sound better (be specific). And oh by the way if you want to know the specs on nuance, call the president he will tell you, then you can feel all warm and cozy inside.
