I had heard a lot about Paridigm so i went to the only store in town that sold them. I listened to the speakers for about a week and was somewhat disappointed with the performance. I tried to return them to the Power Center for an exchange to a different brand. They actually told me to "go away". I'm not so much upset with the speakers themselves as i am with the treatment i received from the sales staff. 2 out of five on the speakers. zero ot of five for the Power Center.

I have had these for over three years now. I bought these for a discounted price of 540 for the pair in 1996 right before the monitor 9s came out. I think these are a great pair of speakers for the price, and they will easily blow any any speakers costing 3 times as much. If you can find these on the used market, dont even think twice, just buy it. I agree with the previous posting, because it is such a mammoth, you need to use a high powered amplifier to run it (just like any other hi-end speakers) to get the full range of effects. I am presently using a receiver to run it and I think that is not enough. I have heard that if you bi-amp theses speakers, then you will have the best sound available. That is my next pet project.

Beautiful spacious sound, Neat bass fairly accurate and suitable for any musical genre.

Needs a fairly hefty amp , and are relatively inefficient.

I've used these speakers for about 5 years now and still have not felt the need to update. They blow away anything in a similar price range and often embarass speakers costing more than twice as much. Not as accurate as some speakers which is probably why they have a reputation of not being good for classical listeners. If you only listen to classical then these are not for you, however they maintain a wonderful open sound through all types of music , I can't recommend them highly enough.

Paradigm 9seMk3, for almost 3 years i'm using this speaker. It gave me a very soft relexing sound. I can say that treble is very very soft but still very clear ( can i say 5 star, easy for every body to understand )No I add another star for the treble sound 6 star,,,
Mid range & Bass this two, ohhh please for almost every day i'm still looking for the star. Still "Mary Black"
on the top.
What I can say is this speaker is a very very valuable or good. Just it need 4 feet from the rear and 3.5 feet from left and right.
