Bass, depth, VALUE!!

For this price..surely you jest!!

Coming from the perspective that speakers will always sound better when not power with a 200$ receiver, I have been through the audio ladder[or disease]. To field a quick review based upon personal experience [or foolishness..you decide] these speakers hit an excellent balance between listenability and "high end". Compared to all the other speakers I've listed {yes I've owned them all...still own some] these speakers will be more enjoyable to listen to with the exception of the Linn 5140 and the Martin Logan Quest [which lacked any reasonable bass]. I get the impression that many owners have never experienced a "high end" speaker. Typically, this defines ear piercing high's and non existent lows. This speaker is a wonderful balance between the two. Those that claim this speaker lacks bass...time to replace that receiver, those that feel this speaker lacks depth...time to replace that receiver, the Studio 60 keeps up with the Thiel CS6, a speaker I sold within 6 months [complete lack of bass]. Of all the speakers I've mentioned that I have owned, only the Linn 5140 at over 21/2 times the price [not to mention the Thiels] will give you more long term enjoyment. This speaker will make all but the most hard of hearing embarassed that they spent more!!!! P.S. Those that claim this speaker lacks bass, having owned B&W 801's, the Paradigm will produce far more usable bass at realistic levels. I use these speakers in a 3rd system with a Linn Classik and love them...especially when I look at the price in relation to what I am hearing!!
