Listener fatigue sets in with these speakers. I now own a pair of Magnapan 10.1's which I prefer. I tried to make a post for PSB 600i seperately but the Web site incorrectly made a post for PSB 6i. |

I auditioned the 600i in my bedroom (10'x12') with a Marantz PM-57 integrated ampa and CC-57SE CD player. I was impressed, especially since I spent the last month listening to many speakers up to the $1500 range. They were very clear in precise in the highs and mids. The bass was also very quick, and accurate, although the very low bass was a little lacking. The sound stage and imaging was very good, and the speakers blended very well. Overall, I give a very good review, especially considering the price ($600 list). Being a fan of hard metal, with these speakers I even enjoyed to listen to Jewel, a CD I did not take out of the box for 2 years. Female vocals are spectacular. As to classic, I listened to Ravel's Bolero 3 times in a row (39 minutes total). Anyway, definately listen to these speakers. Unfortunately the dealer did not have the 800i in stock to compare. I will look for those, because, I think, they will add a little more bass. Anyone listen to both? An easy 5 stars for the 600i. I am really pleased with the Marantz components as well, a good combination for a system under $1500. |

I bought the 600i's to use them as the front speakers in my home theater because they are without a doubt the best speakers that I could find in that price range. All five speakers in my home theater are PSB's, I think their whole line of speakers is excellent. |

PSB 300i to 1000i is the best bang for the buck! You well not find a better sounding speaker for the money. PSB speaker line may not coast a lot, but they are designed to sound better with a top of the line amp. NOT a mass market amp(Denon,HK,yam, ect,). |

I recently upgraded my home theater's main speakers and bought the psb Century 600i's to replace a pair of Advent Legacy III's and what a difference! The imaging and soundstaging is exceptional and even after hours of listening I experienced no fatigue. If they have any weakness it's a lack of really DEEP bass, but still solid and quite acceptable. Everyone in the family played their favorite cd's (country, rock, new age, hip hop, rap) and were equally impressed. I've also recently upgraded from DPL to DD and so I'll probably be purchasing the 300i's for surrounds very soon. I bought mine mailorder (psb authorized) for $429 a pair (shipping not included) making the psb Century 600i's, what I believe is, one of the great bargains of this century! |

Buying the PSB Century 600i's was one of the best decisions I could have made. They are well balanced and sound terrific, but can also deliver the goods when pushed to its' limits. I bought them form $450 Canadian ($291 US) - a fantastic deal!(Brand new, still in the box at the Sony Store) |

I bought a pair of these speakers, and it was one of the best investments that I have ever made. I have compared them to speakers that cost 2-3 times as much as these, and the PSB Century 600i's are just as good. |

I have owned a pair of PSB 600is for about 5 months now and am enjoying them very much. Ive read all the reviews of this speaker and thought I would put my two cents in. First of all I would like to say to anyone who listens to only heavy metal or rap these speakers arent for you. Im not saying that they wont represent this music well, its just not where they excell. They present music in a warm, laid back way. They do very well with accoustic guitar, classic rock, jazz, or anything thats very musical. I hope this helps anyone considering these speakers. They are great pair of speakers for the money and blow away any mass market speaker in their price range. I would suggest amping them with a minimum of 60 watts. |

These speakers blow away any in the price range. I have them in a system with (ALL PSB Century) 200i (center), 300i (rear) and Subsonic 2i for bass. The receiver is a Sony ES30. Fantastic! |

Well What can I say about PSB. speakers? one word comes to mind Excelant!!!!I have a pair of 600i, centre 200i, rear AmbiantII, SubsonicII. Excelant yes, onwith the proper system. I have a cheap pioneer prologic system 465s I bought that when i didn't know anything about Digital suround and all the high tech stuff i told myself that there would be no differance from a $2000 to a $400 system. I said to myself the speakers makes the diferance. Yes it does in a way BUT Boy was i wrong. All i wanted is to not spend big money. and thats why i basically purchased PSB at first. I was surprised how amazing music sounds through those speakers. To my ears it gives such a rich full sound that amazes me and for such a cheap price. Well as the months went buy i started to read audio magazines and started to visite audio stores for demos on surround sound and stuff. and i have learnd alot. For one thing There is a ENORMOUS differance between a $400 System and a $2000 system. You see i listend to my movies in pro logic, on my pioneer and before i started to explore the real world of suround i thought that i had a great sound. untill i heard some kick ass high end. Well i though i got riped off because i didn't get that kind of effect. You see when i listen to movies on my Pioneer system it sounds good, but everything seamed to be coming from the front. I bought a DVD and aslo purchased Super Speedway. |
