After seeing these ugly ass speakers praised to the heavens by TAS, I decided I had to get them. Well, nothing could prepare me for how undeniably excellent these are!!! They are uncannily balanced across the frequency spectrum. Moreover, they soundstage so well, you forget about how damn plain they are and enjoy the music!! An absolute giant killer at the price!! Though I love the electrostatic precision and air of my ML Aerius i's, I firmly believe the 300ti is the better speaker overall. Of course, that doesn't mean I am getting rid of the Logan's, it just means Sound Dynamics truly outdid themselves!!!!!!!! |

Looks are ok. I am still in process of evaluating them,It was necessary to do some room treatment. |

Lacking in the lowest midrange and (consequently) forward in the treble. Although the treble is sweet I keep wishing they would have tuned the crossoverto take better advantage of the midrange driver, which goes almost unused. |

Clearance deal from Audio Advisor @ $499. I am using them for stereo and not home theater. Very tight accurate bass for such a small box. The best sounfd for the money even at full list price of $1000. I wish they did not break the mold, I might want another set some day. |

Great musical speakers. Easy to drive and never let you down for musical enjoyment. Upgrade hint: Solder the push on clips to the drivers. The sound becomes much smoother, rhythmic, and open. You have to hear it! The midrange driver is held in by a tacky material. It can be removed by taking out the bass driver and carefully pushing on the midrange driver from the back (after taking out the screws of course). Don't overtighten the screw when remounting - it's only pressboard... |

I have a pair at home and I do love them. In my room they sound best pointing to the listener. Good low level detail, tightly controlled bass and lively midrange are their strong suit. While sometimes I find the treble a little (and I MEAN a little) on the harsh side although the associated components might contribute to that. The sound is well balanced throughout the frequencies. I honestly do not understand why anyone would complain about too much bass from these speakers. The bass is tightly controlled, although not as extended as more expensive floorstanders. And, ummm the looks are downright ugly. Right now they are being driven by Jolida SJ-502A integrated tube amp, Rega Planet CD Player, with cables from Kimber and Straightwire. Way Recommended for the price range !!!! |

I bought these after highly enthusiastic recommendation by a friend and HP's raving in TAS. That was over 3 years ago, and I love them as much or more than ever. Not quite as detailed as some, but eminently musical... they just sound right. Also, good bass extension into the 40ish range. For the $$, I'd be surprised to find anything better. Having used Spica's, Cambridge Ensambles, and Maggies (plus more expensive Theil's). The only speaker I have ever liked as well was my old LS35a's from many years ago. But they were not nearly as full range as these. |

Great sound, deep bass, accurate high's, wide imaging, transparent field. These babies produce the sweetest sound for even double their pricee!!! |

I have had the pleasure to enjoy speakers such as Sonus Faber Extremas, ProAc Response 3's, 2's, 2.5's, B&W 802's, 801's, Refernce 3A Supremas, AE2's, and many others. No, the 300ti's are not better than all the speakers I have ever owned but they do give every speaker I have owned a run for the money. I paid $450.00 for them, and I can say without reservation it is the only pair of speaker I have kept for a long period of time. As a matter of fact I plan to keep the 300ti's indefinitely. Yes they are quite ungly but at $450.00 they are beautiful in their ability to reproduce low bass, sweet midrange, and silky highs. What else could an audiophlie ask for? Yes they do imaging and soundstaging well also. By the way, I sell highend audio equipment for a living. I would never suggest to put these in the store I work for, or how else can I sell you a big dollar item. |

I bought these for my son to play with thinking they were going to look, sound, feel, and last like $600 speakers, or $400 which is what I paid. I shopped for Paradigm, PSB and a few others within the price range but after hearing some of the reviews and reading some publications, I decided to give the 300's a swirl. Worst case, I could return them for a small 5% restocking fee. I have to tell you, after hearing them on my sons system in his apartment above our garage, I decided to steal them and try them out on my proceed with MIT, krell, Marantz and Chroma. I could not believe the detail from those little things. The higher frequencies were so imaged, the bass was thunderous, tight and clean. Now if you are thinking I will give up my Mangi's or my B&W's, forget it, but if I am ever asked what speaker to buy up to $800 or $1000, it would be the 300TI's. |
