Strength:
Everything is in the box except the LFE cable for the subwoofer.(minor issue)
Weakness:
none I hooked these bad boys up to my Outlaw 1050. After playing with the crossover for the subwoofer I got the sound just right. JBL's put in plenty of wire, wall mounts plus nice speakers. I ran the speakers under the carpet and had plenty. I cranked up the Outlaw & these speakers took it all. My son-in-law was laughing as the sound for Similar Products Used: none |

Strength:
Comes with good speaker wire and mounting brackets.
Weakness:
None noted to date other than speaker stands for this model's surrounds if you want them are about 1/3 of entire speaker system cost ~$89 for a pair. Crystal clear even at high volume. Great sound. I am using them with a Kenwood VR509 AV receiver which has the Dolby Prologic II surround for stereo recordings and also discrete amplifier circuitry. Currently I have all four surrounds placed at the TV and even a DVD of old Three Stooges projects sound behind my listening point in crystal clear sound. Strength:
Packaging, wall mounts included, powered down-firing sub, true two-way satellites, small sized satellites and center spkr. Great entry level price point!!
Weakness:
sub cabinet is a little cheap looking, satellite speakers have a proprietary bottom side that makes it hard to use anything but JBL's own floor stands(FS300~$80) if you need floor standing satellites. Low freq. effects RCA cable not included. Small satellites will make you doubt your investment. Just be patient and hook the system up, drop in T2 special edtn. DVD, select "gatlin gun" scene, and you won't believe your ears. The scs135 is perfect for smaller budgets that live in apartments or small homes with close nieghbors. I am feeding this system with an Onkyo 494 at a moderate 55watts true RMS. It gets louder than I'll ever need it for any listening source. Put the down-firing sub in a corner (esp. if you have hardwood floors)and there will be more than enough bass for you. My family and I will be enjoying this system for quite awhile!! It's a great pricepoint for smaller budgets. Similar Products Used: JBL Flix1 surround speakers, JBL LX600, JBL Control 1 monitors with a passive JBL SB-1 sub. |

Strength:
Small compact size, Sleek design, Monster powered Sub
Weakness:
Speaker stands are proprietary and they don't have room inside for the speaker wire, which can make them look messy. Do yourself a favor and buy these speakers. Every retail store sells them for $400 so save big money and buy online like I did. These speakers rock! the sub is unbelievable, I hooked them up to my Sony Digital/DTS receiver and DVD player through Optical and Sub Line-out connections so I know I'm getting the most out of my system. If your into small home theater speakers, you can't go wrong with these! Similar Products Used: none |

Strength:
Small
Weakness:
JBL Speaker Stands are $$$$ compared to price of this system I am by no means an expert when it comes to speaker systems, but all I know is that this system is amazingly small and produces a great sound. Not just a great sound for a small system but a great sound period. It is fantastic for a small area but produces a sound big enough any size area really. The small satellite speakers are great for mounting on the wall because they are light. The subwoofer produces surprising bass. If you are looking for an inexpensive package system without the huge bulky speakers, this is ideal. You cannot beat the price for the size and sound. Similar Products Used: N/A |

Strength:
Excellent power in a little package. Verify clear highs and mids. Speaker easy to hide. Wall mounts a plus
Weakness:
Center channel could be alittle more powerful. Definitely have to have a subwoofer I bought these speakers after I heard my buddies SCS125. I couldn't believe the type of power and clarity that came out of these tiny speakers. I wasn't disappointed once I hooked them up. At first I didn't hook up the sub because I didn't have an LFE cable. I hated how they sounded due to the fact that there was no lows (very faint). Then I bought a cable for my sub and I am very, very happy with these speakers. I have a rec room that is about 18 x 14 and it more than fills up the room with crisp clear sound. I can't praise these speakers enough!! If you are an audio enthusiast on a budget, these speakers are for you. Another friend of mine has some Paradigms and he even said that they sound as good as his 1200 dollar set. Similar Products Used: JBL 2060's |

Strength:
Samll, inexpensive, good sound
Weakness:
instruction manual don't give any spec I heard this system on the store floor at Sear, in very bad condition and they sounded good. I also love the price and the size. I have seen surround system from $150. to $25000. This set can be compare to some system around $2000. easely. When I bring it at home, it was very easy to install since everything is include ( except a coax cable for the LFE input. And I was not desapointed when I heard it in my listening room. The other very good point is that because of it size, my wife love them... ;-) |
