Strength:
Small, great sound, comes with mounting brackets, 8" powered sub w/ LFE input
Weakness:
The mounting brackets are difficult fit onto the speakers. You will not find a better deal for your money. This HT system has it all, even it's own powered sub with LFE input. All the wire is included, except the LFE (you'll want to buy a nice one anyway; see www.ac4l.com). Similar Products Used: Crap that came with an old Magnavox stereo. |

Weakness:
None This is a great all around surround sound speaker system. They have escellent sound quality, even at high volume levels. They're so small, you can put them about anywhere, and the 8" self powered sub is unbelievable!!! If you're looking for an inexpensive speaker system, look no farther, this is the one for anyone wanting a great system on a budget. Similar Products Used: Technics, RCA, Kenwood |

Strength:
JBL name, complete home theatre package, excellent sound for home theate
Weakness:
for the price, not much I bought these speakers after reading all the reviews on this site. I must agree with most of what is being said. Namely, these are an excellent set of speakers for the price. It is equally very good when watching dvds. The small speakers give out surprisingly good and clear sound while the sub can literally shake things around. However, I must say that when listening to "normal" music, it is not as good - although it isn't bad either. To put it perspective, for home theatre application these speakers score 9/10, but for music only 7/10 (thats on the generous side too). |

Strength:
Imaging,pricing for complete package,brackets included
Weakness:
appearance-center channel speaker looks wimpy Although I knew the measurements prior to purchase, I was a little taken back by how tiny these speakers actually are - but good things do indeed come in small packages. This was to be my "other" home theater - low budget system using the Go-Video dvd/amp combo ($250) with an old 27" RF-only TV, set up in the basement. Well, compared to my "main" system which cost considerably more, this latest set-up, to include these speakers, definitely has me telling others that you don't need to drop big bucks for astounding results. I popped in test DVD after another and was amazed at how much detail these little beauties created. The power sub completes the scene. With the brackets and a ton of wiring, don't know why they don't throw in a patch cord for the LFE. In the process, I have learned the three "P's" of home theater - placement, placement, placement. I highly recommend this system for the beginner, or for the bedroom or apartment dweller. Similar Products Used: bose satellites, polk center and surround |

Excellent Highs, and the subwoofer supplies extremely tight bass. Satellite speakers look great on JBL speaker stands.
Weakness:

Strength:
Size and sound.
Weakness:
Speaker terminals. I connected these to a Yamaha RX-V596 receiver. My brother-in-law has the same receiver connected to the JBL SCS 125. I loved his system, so I intentionally copied it. I bought the same DVD player as his (SONY DVP-S570) and right down to using Better Cables for the interconnects. But by the time I came around to buying the speakers, nobody had the 125s anymore, so I bought the 135s. I'm glad. He agreed with me that the larger subwoofer and centre channel speaker of the 135 gives a more fuller sound than the 125. Similar Products Used: JBL SCS 125 |
