Strength:

Sound,Cost

Weakness:

Heavy, other than that nothing.

For the price this is a great sub. I had set out on a quest to finish my component system. I have came across a great many sub before I finally found this one. I was going to go with the outrageously priced Infinity IL120, but then I found this sub. Now, I loved the sound of the Infinity, but I'm not willing to pay $900 for that sub. So I found this one and I was blown away, the sub sounds every bit as good as the Infinity, and for the price, Wow. It's a great sub.

Now I did notice that one person, has given the sub 1 star. Then I read his explantation, and it hit me, Oh, it's ok he has no idea what he is talking about. For one thing there is a big difference between a 15" and 12" sub, and there is an even bigger difference between home subs and car subs. Therefore his review is null and void. He has not idea what he is talking about.

So now that we have the settteled, go out and by this sub,I promise you won't be let down.

Strength:

Knocks books off shelves.

Weakness:

When I watch DVD’s with my friends, they all complain that it’s not really that loud in real life. =P

I have this bad boy hooked up to my computer. I have the Cambridge Soundworks 5.1 theater package and had a KLH 8" 100watt sub to add more base, but it would fludder during when the bass got too loud. I decided not to screw around, and when I was at fry's I tried it and I knew I had to get it. Now I have everyone telling me it's too loud. That can either be a good thing or a bad thing.

Strength:

Smooth response, not boomy at all. great power. excellent flexibility as far as output/input goes.

Weakness:

size and weight...extremely heavy and quite large.

This is an excellent subwoofer. it hits all the lows and shakes everything in the room. excellent for all varieties of music and perfect for movies and 5.1 system. the subwoofer cabinet is extremely sturdy and looks as asthetically pleasing. i recommend this sub to anyone who enjoys great sound. it is inexpensive and beats many higher priced subs.

Strength:

Goes deep, has fused pwer circuit, auto on. Easy hookup, looks great with speaker grill cover removed.

Weakness:

Nothing I can notice

After years of good service my AR S12HO went south, had a close lightening hit, lost the sub along with some other phone and electrical stuff. Shopped around a little and read the reviews about this one. I found it for under $300.00 shipped to my door so I jumped on it. It has 10 more watts of power than the S12, but you feel the bass more because it goes deeper, I think the S12 was rated to go deeper but this one seems to hit the lows harder. I put the sub in the same location as my prior sub and while standing on the second level of the house you can really feel it, I called my wife up to show her and she told me she never felt the other sub like that, neither did I. I like it more for movies,I keep the controls about halfway. I do cut it back for music, some classic rock and light jazz, but that is my taste.
For the money it's a great deal.

Strength:

Deep very powerful bass.
150 watt rms amp.

Weakness:

Big and Heavy, but that can be overlooked.

This sub is awesome! This sub is soo loud and clean its unbelievable it doesn't cost $1,000 +. Got it at Sears for a price match, plus tax. Anyways, I have this setup with my CV e-712's and its a beautiful match. Definatly worth the money.

Strength:

Clean, Crisp Bass responce. Well worth the money.

Weakness:

AHHH! Shakes my house and dorm room. :o)

As soon as I got this sub home I connected it up. Which was really simple. First rumbles comming out of this beast were amazing. I have no complaints other than those from the neighbors to turn it down.

Strength:

How well it sounds!

Weakness:

Misses on some of the extreme lows, but that is because it is a 12inch, not anything to do with the sub itself.

This is a very good sub, probably the best I have heard for the price. This sub pounds on all the lows and raigns on the highs. I could not believe how much a difference this sub made to my home theater. I have never heard anyone elses sub sound this good. It may even be one of the best subs ever made.

Strength:

I am pleased with the with the deep rumbling bass that this one produces.

Weakness:

None yet?

I bought this based upon everyone's review and listening to other subs from the $100-$250 range. I bought the floor model. Rexx does not hook them up. I have the bass turned a little over half. U-571 shakes the house!!!

I'm not sure why the last person was having problems.

Strength:

Very powerful - like nothing I've ever owned. Rumbles when appropriate, punches when appropriate.

Weakness:

None.

Very powerful. I have the volume set at 1/2, and set the sub-out on the receiver to -3, just so the rest of the system could keep up. And to keep from shaking the house off the foundation. I listen to Country music, so it is actually over-kill. But I use it for movies almost exclusively. It rumbles when appropriate, punches when appropriate. I grew up hunting, and I can tell you that I've never heard a better reproduction of a shotgun blast than this speaker provides (eg. T2, when the bar-owner tries to stop Arnold from stealing a motorcycle). In Jurassik Park, it sounds like there is a real T-Rex in the room! Of course, I've never heard a real one. :) But the sound really changes the whole movie-watching experience. When friends come to visit, they are all blown away by my system. You can hear explosions from my living room across the street in my grandmother's *backyard*. And I've never pushed it close to it's potential. Previously, I've used the LW-10. I was pleased with it too, but it had a defect. I exchanged for the LW-12. Forget the price; I would not trade this sub for any other. A lot of reviewers have said that they think it is the best for the money, and that there may be better subs out there. You would have to prove that to me. I would want nothing else, unless I actually ran a large movie theater, which was larger than my house. Within the confines of a house, I know of nothing better, or as good. In fact, I've never been to a theater that impressed me this much.
