Strength:

Great bass!

Weakness:

Maybe a tad overpriced.

This was part of a package I just bought, including the Klipsch Quintet, and it's great (my first speaker package of any kind). Provides good bass, especially at high levels. Good for an entry-level system. Not good if you're really into house-shakingly loud bass (go look at Hsu Research subs in that case- I listened to a Hsu TN1220 at a friend's house and it was truly impressive!). But good value for the price. Plus Good Guys has a 30 day money back guarantee.

Strength:

Solid chest pounding bass

Weakness:

needs a high signal for auto to work, sensitive placement

This sub works well with my HT setup. My room is 14x12. It needs to be placed in a corner, If its placed on a side wall it will not put out much. It does upper (40hz) bass well. It also needs to be broken in over a period of about one month. When I first bought it, my front speakers could put out almost as much bass, but now if I just set the fronts to large, this thing puts out much more bass. I would not recomend this sub for someone with a room much larger then mine who likes to play movies at high levels.
